I have a regular 75D bought 2 years ago. A month after I bought it cold temps prompted me to use the pre-heat which turns on the battery coolant heater (if it's needed) and a couple of error codes were thrown out but then would go away as soon as I would drive the car. I figured it was the battery coolant heater so I was like I'm not taking it in to Tesla if it's just that and the codes are going away when I drive it so I limped it through last winter by just having the battery charge and timing it so it would finish right before I go to work (charging the battery warms it up) this worked for me as I don't take it on trips so don't need the battery heater for a supercharger or anything. This winter when temps dropped it started doing the same thing and only when the pre-heat was used and the battery heater came on (you can tell in the Tesla app if the battery heater is on by 3 orange squiggly lines up by the battery %). Well I turned the pre-heat of and on too many times in a row and it put the car in limp mode. Long story short took it to Tesla told them almost positive it's the battery heater because it only throws the codes when the pre-heat is used and the battery heater comes on so they replaced the battery heater and it's been 3 weeks so far so good.

All that removal for headlights 😪 and i thought dodge challenger/chargers were bad
