Thanks for the question. There was one big production show called Elements that took place in the main theater. There were no “Broadway” style shows on my 4 day NYC to Bermuda cruise. Perhaps on longer cruises there would be additional shows. While the shows are free, some shows might require reservations so check if they are needed after you board the ship. Enjoy your travel!

I agree with both comments. While the Constellation cabins are showing their age, they do have a charming “old school” feel. My wife and I are going to try the Celebrity Ascent next year (one of the newest ships in the fleet) and will compare.

Thanks for the comment. You will be able to fill up a water bottle at the buffet or the observation lounge food area. Regarding gratuities, by default the drinks & dining package do not include tips. There is an option to include gratuities on your bill which should cover everything. I did look at my bill and did see some drink charges even though I had the drink package. I think it was an extra tax for the cost of some drinks. For a beer at the District House Brewery it was an 80 cent fee so I was not too worried about it. Finally, all of the shows we went to did not require reservations. We arrived early for the Beatles show in the cavern club as that venue is small. If you plan to go to Elements check the app, guest services or a kiosks around the ship and reserve as soon as you get on the ship. Still get to the venue early.

Thanks for the question. If you will be traveling on the Celebrity Constellation, that ship does not have a private pool for the suite customers. However, the ship does have a public thalassotherapy pool in the atrium for cruisers 16 and older which was very nice. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment and questions. Everything is extremely expensive during peak season. I recommend booking the excursions early. We waited till a month or so before the trip to book the skip the line tours and prices were sky high. We used Viator for most of the skip the line excursions in Rome. In Florence (Duomo) we used Musement. There were no issues with either company and all the tours we took were great. That said, most of the skip the line tours require you to get to the location early to get the tickets so we did waste some time waiting for the tours to start. The prices for Celebrity excursions were high, but the benefit is a worry free excursion might be worth it (they will hold the ship if the tour gets back late). Regarding the transfer from Ravenna to Venice w/ the water taxi it was around $800. We used Viator as well but price seems to have increased since last year. For my wife and I, this was once in a lifetime trip so we splurged for the convenience. Note: One lady on the tender back to the the ship was raving that there was a ferry to go from the Ravenna port to Venice that was reasonably priced and quick, but I could not find any details on that. @@dawnfrey9682 - We did not swim at any of the ports, but did take a boat tour in Zadar and the water was incredible. We booked a boat at the scenic bridge right outside of old town. For getting around by train, download the TrenItalia App on your phone. You can plan out your trip with that. We only took the train once in Livorno/Florence stop. We opted to take a cab from the port to and from the train. It’s estimated that around 2,000 of Pompeii's 20,000 residents perished during the eruption, while many others were able to escape, making these plaster casts a powerful reminder of those who couldn't.

Thanks for the question. I recorded the video June 22, 2024 so if there was a refresh I was unaware of it. Perhaps there was newer carpeting? The Celebrity Suite I stayed in was clean but was a little dated. Perhaps there are other areas that have been “Revolutionized” but I did not see them. Either way, I am sure you will have a fantastic trip. Keep an eye on the channel. I am putting together a The Best of Italy and Croatia video that should help you with some of your itinerary decisions and provide some tips. Also there is a good thread on Cruise Critic (User PurpleTraveller ) who did a great photo montage of his trip. He also took photos of all of the daily activity sheets which should give you a good idea what to expect if you plan to stay onboard. Good Luck!

Me too July 7 Acqua class sky suite just booked

Sorry - I did not get the video in either locations. The Retreat Bar was very nice. Although the bar itself was small, the staff was excellent, and they had a comfortable sitting area. There was a door next to the bar, allowing guests to get a tasty drink and watch the scenery. They also had a fridge with various beverages and an area with small food bites. There was always a concierge person in the Retreat as well. If you have tender days on your itinerary and want to get off the ship quickly, go to the Retreat Lounge. They treat guests like VIPs, calling down and escorting you to the tender, bypassing the lines.
