Elder Statesman E.K. Clark felicitates with Gowon @ 90
Nigeria's Former Military Head of State, Gen, Yakubu Gowon (Rtd) has been described as a national icon that exemplifies national unity and patriotism. Chief Edwin K. Clark, former Federal Commissioner of Information, made this known in an exclusive with VON as the country celebrated the 90th birthday of Gowon. He said that Gowon not only fought for the rights of Nigerians - especially the minorities - but also brought reconciliation (after a very bloody civil war ) and development.
