The Rhapsody Project
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 28 เม.ย. 2018
The Rhapsody Project is a community that celebrates music and heritage through an anti-racist lens. We offer music workshops, residencies and performances. We facilitate cross-generational, cross-cultural interactions through the medium of music.
We want regular folks-especially the youth-to understand that America’s folk and blues music is not a relic, but a thriving blend of traditions that help us learn who we are.

Residency Recap - Jubilee with Seattle Opera
The Rhapsody Project had a residency in partnership with Seattle Opera to commemorate their newest original production, Jubilee, in honor of the Fisk Jubilee singers. Our instructors Briar and Lady A taught students how to create call and response songs. This was an exercise in creativity, critical thinking, rhythm, and harmony. We encouraged students to work together to create songs on empowerment and growth.

this is amazing!
thank you!!! I've subscribed, now I'll practice!!!!
Simple, right to the point, awesome man thanks!
Good lesson👍🪕
It is one of the most beautiful songs. So mournful.
I’m looking to learn simple bass lines for classic gospel and some blues but I don’t see any instruction for bass 😟 Any ideas? I’m self taught
Listen to the song as many times as you can until you learn the notes and their progression. It's important to identify the root note. You don't need to create a whole bunch of fancy arrangements. Just identify the notes in the song and keep up with that.
Love Sister Rosetta and this song. Thank you!
I like this style, not quite old time, not quite blues, definitely not bluegrass. Also something I can about play with a little practice.
Very interesting thanks…🪕🪕🪕🪕🪕

Whoa...
Thanks Man, perfect tutorial
Absolutely beuty, you uave shone a light on me
good morning vibes <3
Very nice jazz. well done. I think the video is out of sync however.
I think it is a different person singing? I heard a short blond singing in a different video of theirs, before this video. I think that is who is singing in this video but I could be wrong. This girl they are showing has a completely different voice it seems, from listening to her in other videos of theirs.
Interesting. Thanks for the insight. @@Karen...Grunberg
