Strange Tire Wear
This tire is a Goodyear 215/75-R17.5 trailer tire with 23,000 miles on a 5th wheel camper. The tire never carries more weight than it's rated for and has never been run low on air pressure. The outside shoulder has a wear pattern that starts at the groove and is only worn from 1/4" to 3/4" from the groove. The rest of the shoulder has normal wear like the rest of the tire.

Splendide clothes dryer bad motor bearings

    • @rvtheus

      They are standard dust cover (hub caps). Carefully take a chisel between the hub and the cap. Loosen it up all the way around, gently as you go. It will come right off.

    • @rvtheus

    • @waynewillson

      Sean at Propride did offer to replace the bearings and repaint the hitch, if I brought it in or shipped it to their factory in Michigan. I didn't want to do that, so I fixed it myself. Understandably, Propride won't give the bearing kits out for free.

    I'm failing to understand why you need to remove the large snap ring for what has been shown here. That seems like it is to retain the cartridge bearing in the hub assembly, and has nothing to do with removal of the assembly from the spindle like the small snap ring, washer and nut do.

    • @SpectroRacingChannel
      @SpectroRacingChannel 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just bought the entire assembly as shown instead of buying the cartage bearing. Im guessing he is just replacing the bearing which you do need to remove the snap ring then press out the bearing than a new one in. • @rvtheus

      They were the wrong size pliers, as they should have been considerably larger, but it was what I had at the time. I learned later that I didn't have to remove the large snap-ring.
