I was really frustrated that the driver of the engine would hardly ever blow the whistle. Only when he was at a whistle board, and never again. I have no clue into why he didn’t blow the whistle when leaving a station. Isn’t it against railway regulations to not sound the whistle before departing a station ? This is why this video is shorter than most other episodes. Blame it on the driver !!!

Great in their time and there some that live on as Class 769's but a lot of them have been ran into the ground. No surprise as most of them have 1.5million miles on the clock in their career.

Is the electrostar (applying only to the red units) a ex Gatwick Express one?
@@CitaroProductions It most likely is. GWR ones have been sent to Great Northern too, and even C2C. I have seen them !!!

I would like to see one preserved. As they were the first dual mode Thameslink EMU's to come to BR. The Class 313's are dual mode but they never operated longer workings. Perhaps a Class 769 could be saved and used on the heritage railways.
