Tavce Gravce - Macedonian Recipe
Tasty traditional Macedonian meal, suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Ingredients:
400 gr. White Beans
1 Onion
6 cloves of Garlic
2 tbsp Dried Paprika
1 tbsp Flour
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Mixed Vegetable Spices
1 tsp Dried Mint
4 Bay Leaves
2 Dried Peppers for decoration

Hi, i got a question: why do you change the cookingwater of the beans twice? I have found another recipe where they say to use the cookig water for the sauce - which is confusing.
@@karlrt1 while the beans are cooking, they leave protein on top of the water, and you have to drain in out.. and it tastes better, so when it's boiling you drain the water, add fresh one, boil it again, and change it again.. I've never used the water for the sauce like in pasta, in pasta there is starch left behind in the water, but in the beans it leaves gas-causing compounds
