Used this video as background noise. When you said something like "draw what you see not what you know" that and me just doodling faces revived me from art burnout (Hopefully for a good while). Powerful and timely message to the Laodicean church, the modern church at large; a salt-free, low-light, powerless, and demonized institution. The biggest obstacle to the Laodicean church today in getting right with God is her ignorance of her sin. She is clueless about her faults, so how can she repent? Oh, the pulpiteers who disgrace the sacred desk talk about sin in a general sense, but few dare to get specific for fear of stepping on their members toes. Worse yet, they are also ignorant of some major flaws in their doctrine and practice. The saddest thing about the condition of such men is that they are very sincere in what they believe, as sincere as any devoted cult-follower. I could go on and on, but I'll do my preaching when God is finished preparing me for His call on my life and I have the power of the Holy Spirit to back up the truths that He has taught me over 4 decades of my Christian experience. Lastly, that photo of the dirty bride meant to be a depiction of the modern church falls waaay short of the reality of her deplorable condition. Conspicuously missing is the tattoos, piercings, overly-applied makeup, obesity, ripped jeans, and bizarre and un-natural colored hair. What we are seeing in modern female dress-behavior is actually a reflection of what satan has done to the bride of Christ, and Jesus is NOT coming back for the Laodicean church!!!

Thank you for this video, somehow youtube recommended it to me and the timing and the topic couldn't be more perfect! I was always good at drawing since childhood but over the years I took this gift for granted because it was so easy for me and never put much effort. I taught myself some techniques, I learned how to use some mediums but never considered doing art more seriously. Until a month ago when I just heard that inner voice "Why are you neglecting your gift?" And I decided to start again doing art and to make some videos and share them with the world. One of the best things u can do for urself is to learn how to separate ur own voice from the voices of those who we grew up listening to. Learn how to recognise ur initial thoughts as the voices of the past. Some will be kind but others might be the ones hurting us that we are still listening to. Ur voice is the most important, what you think and believe, don't just accept the voices of others, learn how to form ur own opinions! U got this x

Been thinking about this a lot too. Having lost momentum bc I out grew my little studio space, then had to move to the garage, which isn’t better by any stretch. I can’t afford to lose anymore time, or spend anymore money. Just have to work with what I have to work with. It’s a mindset shift for sure. We’ll be refined silver when we’re done right? Reflecting our maker’s image on our shiny perfect surface. Upwards and onwards!
