My foster carer spent my care checks on herself and her birth kids, and sent me to a mental ward during an autistic meltdown, had my dementia ridden birth grandmother pick me up after. Then told me I should leave the home at 17 because I ate a Freddo frog against their will. Ended up moving into a strangers house who had known for less than 2 weeks. Safe 😂 I was drinking and smoking in her care from the age of 15 and she didn’t notice/ didn’t do anything to stop it. 7 kids 7 pay checks per fortnight, she know owns her own home overlooking the ocean after being a renter her whole life, I live in a caravan park with severe ptsd and on a 3 month wait for ndis support because she didn’t get me assessed for learning disabilities and autism which runs in my family genetics. She became a guardian until the paychecks weren’t worth the trouble of caring for a traumatised child, and still collected the paychecks for herself after I left home. I only realise this know after looking up guardian laws in nsw and the funding incentives made to them. My life was used as an income stream , no case workers came to check up on me during this time because of the government giving all the support to shit carers using children as piggy banks

Why did the government allow exploration and waste of so many millions of dollars when the refusal of permission to mine was purely emotional, unscientific and groundless, totally ignoring all of the processes set up by government's own department to ensure the project was done in the correct and proper manner. Not one valid reason for this debacle has been given by this minister because there is none. I would recommend a Royal Commission into this debacle because there is a bad stink about this whole process. They passed all of these their checks with flying colours. The opinion of one person without the required training to make such a decision is not good enough and why even have a whole department if a minister's whim can over rule years of work by a team of professionals set up to make those sort of decisions in the first place. The minister should resign and the government should quite rightly fully compensate the company in a timely manner. A billion dollars would not be enough to compensate them for this travesty of governance. I can see a lot of mining companies in SA now dropping prospective mining ventures like a hot potato, not even considering mining in SA and others such as Beach Energy leaving the state due to the uncertain and incompetent running of this valuable sector under this minister.
