DIY English Wheel on Wheels (with dimensions)
Seems like the only decent options out there for English Wheels are made for established shops that use them day in and day out. I needed something simple to roll a few pieces of sheet metal every now and then, so I set out to make a simple English Wheel that anyone can make. I tried to keep the cost as low as possible on this and spent less than $250 buying all materials. Hopefully this helps out someone else looking to save some money for their actual projects and give you a fun fabrication side project as well. Thanks for watching!

How to replace bumper (upper and lower rear fascia) on Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
มุมมอง 13K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows you how to remove the upper and lower rear fascia for replacement and how to access the bumper/trailer hitch receiver. We got rear ended about a year ago and after waiting to get money from our insurance and get the right part in from Mopar, I was finally able to get this swap done.
Changing fog light on 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium
มุมมอง 16K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This video piggybacks off other like videos that show how to remove front end vehicle components to access fog lights. NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE TIRES TO ACCESS UNDERSKIRT AND WHEEL WELLS, BUT IT DOES GIVE YOU MORE ROOM TO WORK WITH
Thanks for making the video. You do Amazing work! 👍🏼
Very nice clean job, from across the pond
Yes you do need to jack it up, "if you weigh 145lbs, or more", any oil is fine, oil recommendation is only a sales pitch, the most important thing is to use the right filter tool, because it's designed to either sell you an unnecessary tool, or made so you can mess the plastic up, trying other tools, so they can sell you a new filter cap.
Can you post the part # for that lower fascia?
One of the easiest oil changes I've ever done. No mess at all. 24mm also fits the filter housing perfectly.
Hey Jack just wondering is the lower fascia easy to take off with removing the entire rear bumper? I'm asking because i am installing the OEM tow hitch assembly as ours didn't come with it
A 15ths/16ths?
Mine has a 10 millimeter and a 13 mm for the oil door underneath
Thank you man! I just did my oil change today on my Jeep Grand Cherokee L 2023. I watched your video like 5 times before I did mine. Appreciate your help!
Anybody have to get a transmission oil change video??
I would take them skirts off and leave them off because the engines overheats on the Fords. I'm going to take it off to Cherokee also. The oils in the cases are gelatin because the heat up just like an oven. Don't follow the recommended oil change intervals either, if you weigh 100,000 me you're not going to have a good transmission left over probably, or transfer cases are differentials❤
This guy makes terrible videos
Looks like the lower fascia tabs aren’t too bad to remove or put back on? The ones connecting to the bumper. I’m going to try removing it without taking the whole bumper off
The torque spec for the filter housing is <18 ft.lbs or just snug and the torque spec for drain plug is 20 ft.lbs for 3.6L Pentastar. Over tighten the filter housing may crack the plastic oil cooler. And even to this day quite a lot of dealers don’t realize the new Pentastar takes 5 quarts of oil instead of 6 and are overfilling the oil (at least over here you ask them, they will tell you all V6 takes 6 quarts.)
Awesome man. Thanks for your time and work.
Thank you
Geez.. you don’t have to yell.
Any modern vehicle, just toss your SAE tools away. They all use Metric. Nice video...
Thanks for sharing the video. Any torque specs for the plug and the filter?
is it just me or can you barely hear him?
Great vid, thanks man!
Thanks for this, this helped me to change my jeep L engine oil as well ! 👏👏🙏
Odd they have a core charge on the lower bumper. Just a piece of plastic that is getting tossed.
Thank you for making this video. Could you tell me what kind of screws hold in the rear reflectors?
T20. Just did this.
did you disconnect the battery before unplugging the rear connections? I wonder if this is the same as the non L.
Jack, thanks for doing this video. I needed to put the tow package in my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and neither the Service manual or the Curt tow bar instructions covered the 2 bolts behind the wheel well black trim. Many thanks
Awesome video! That oil filter set up is basically the same as my toyota corolla, which I just traded in on a '23 grand cherokee! Nice jeep! Awesome video showing the oil change details! You know the oil was changed and done right, if you do it!
My wife has this jeep and I changed the oil today. Great video, i always watch youtube when I have an automotive task to do. It is helpful to know what size wrenches/sockets you need ahead of time. All sizes were correct in this video and what a pleasure to change the oil on this Jeep. I love the filter canister design where you just pull the element out of the top. I maybe spilled three drops of oil on the rags i laid out underneath. What a clean easy oil change compared to the dozens of other cars i've done this on. I guess my only concern is that the canister and cap stay sealed over the years since they are plastic. Well done video and greqt design by jeep
What mm socket/s needed for this oil change?
Should only need a 15/16”, 1/2”, and a 10mm
Amazing video with everything you need. Thank you! God Bless you and thank you for your service! We honor that!
I use a needle nose plier or vice grip to remove the O-ring. A screw driver can damage the plastic thread.
Can we replace the lower rear bumper fascia without removing the upper fascia?
You probably could but to get to most of the clips and screws that hold in the lower fascia to the upper you need to remove it all. I tried to do it without removing the upper but it deemed very difficult. Hope this helps!
Hello Jack, this is Kyra from ISSYAUTO, a professional brand dedicated to producing the best car parts. We would like to invite you to tru out our Roof Rack Cross Bars and do a review and installation. Would you have interest in working together? Look forward to your reply. Thanks!
Nice MGB
Only 5 quarts?
That's what the manual states 👈
Very well done! Easy to understand (especially for someone who doesn't hear well). Camera placement, explanation of procedure, directions all very well done. You dun good!
Good video. I have a 2022 Limited (not L version) - have you found the battery yet? Everything seems to point to under the passenger seat for 2 batteries, but I have HVAC ducts under both fronts seats that seem to block access to a potential battery well, and the owners manual doesn’t say a thing about battery location.
Sorry for just getting back, but I have not had to look for it quite yet. I did wire in a trailer wiring harness a couple months ago but just used the battery terminals inside of the engine compartment. Let me know if you've had any luck
@@jacktownsend3548 Will do. Salesman at the dealer said under the front seat, but with those HVAC ducts i don’t know.
@Hogdriver88 I have a 2023 grand cherokee I just bought, and under those ducts is a battery cover. On mine, auxiliary battery (it says 200ah on it, and is fairly small) is under passenger seat, main battery is under the driver's seat.
@@FredFlintstone21 Success!! Main battery under the driver's seat, aux battery (and fuse block) under the passenger seat. Seats all the way forward, and pry the back corners of the plastic cover off the floor with a screwdriver - they pop up, pull back, and the HVAC duct swivels out. Driver's side was easy, passenger side was one huge PITA. Then had to slide the passenger seat all the way back to get to the aux battery in the front of the well. 12v, 12 aH, 200 CCA. Poor design - they say they did it to protect batteries from overheating. BS - the batteries on the Grand Wagoneer are guess where - under the hood where they belong. Thanks very much 👍👍👍
@Hogdriver88 I'm proud to be apart of the jeep family! I made a cool video showing the tow hook install on my jeep if you have 2 minutes to watch it
Very well put together and detailed video for this process. Thank you! 🙂
You're welcome and let me know if you'd like to see anything else!
I've always opened the oil filler cap to let pressure off the system... not that I think there is any. Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
Why don’t you show the recommendation of the oil change on the book? Its says every 9000 miles if you are taking recommendations for the type of oil why not the intervals?
Mechanics don’t trust the 10k oil changes to be for long term engine health, but to at least last past the warranty
3k to 5k miles for an oil change? You are being so wasteful. 😒
Oil is recycled. Better safe than sorry. These 3.6L engines are not known to be forgiving with dirty oil.
@@YTMegiddo I’m guessing he means being wasteful in a money sense. Like not getting your money’s worth out the oil and filter you brought I wouldn’t push synthetic oil more than 7500 miles because when you factor in the multiple cold starts and stop and go driving it’s really more than 7500 miles on that oil.
Oil is cheap…engines are not
Thanks for sharing , for JGC - L , I think you are the first who uploaded video on oil change. My JGC-L is almost 4 months old now, planning for a DYI oil change at 4K miles, this video is really helpful. Just a quick thought , I would like to share so that you can suggest if you come across the same situation. My JGC-L , I observed the AEB ( automatic emergency braking ) does not Alert or not even brakes if I get very very close to front vehicle ( even at slower speed like 20 or 30 Mph!! I won’t be shocked if this vehicle capable of stopping in such emergency situation although Jeep is claiming that its capable. Did you or any JGC- L owner here , share your experience please. My AEB setting as - warning + active braking Distance - Far
There are discussions in the Jeep GCL forums about this and yeah, don't trust it! I had mine do a crazy breaking when the GCL thought a car was coming into my lane (he didn't, but I see what the computer was thinking. The car behind me was none-to-pleased)
Just saw this comment and funny enough, I just experienced the AEB for the first time since we bought the vehicle over a year ago. I was only driving about 5-10 miles an hour and was just going around a car when it went off. To your point though, I do not believe this would actually prevent you from an accident if the situation arose. I'm sure Jeep is well covered from any and all liability. Hope the video has helped you in your oil changes!
I’m the same It happened twice to me but it was not even close to my car
Nice. Which trim do you have? And how have you liked the car so far? I just got a limited about 2 weeks ago.
We have a limited as well. We absolutely love it and It was the first new car we go it awhile and the first SUV we've ever owned.
Great video! I believe it have Jeep wave program which covers 3 free oil change and tire rotation. But this video is very helpful. Thanks
You're welcome!
Thanks!
You're welcome!
After you added the five quarts. Did you check the level. If so, please share.
Does the oil pan drain have a crush washer that needs replaced or does it have a rubber gasket in the bolt like my old dodge had?
The bolt has a gasket seal on it
Nice. Why more brands don’t do that I don’t know.
@@jacktownsend3548 does that need to be replaced?
@@IVAN2233 no it’s reusable

why didn't you remove the wiper fluid tank?
Can I change build by just removing the skirt or do I need to remove the wheel
