Wow. I didn’t know that PLFA is such an effective procedure for characterizing microbial communities in the ecosystem. Why is it mostly applied in soil microbiology?
Thanku for sharing 💗💗
Good afternoon Dr. freeze. Where can I find a Heavy metal limit for agricultural soi.
Appreciate the clips explaining aome of these on the tests (esp as a newbie) so I can brainstorm what to do about it. Thx.
Sounds like it’s more cost effective to buy certified clean soil and then send samples for testing if one has a very small garden. 🪴 Id like a rough number on the amount of soil that’s considered a small garden
How did you determine the rate of $40/hr to sample? is this not the same as the cost of analysis?
Thanks for the information 🙏
Congratulations
How much cost a tissue analisys in US? Thanks for your precious information.

Hi, from Brazil south part temperate climate, regenerative Vet consultant. About hay/haylage, out of múltiples funcional species (16-32..) any data on forage analisis? Thanks a lot, exelent presentation!
Nice explanation Dr.
the experience of Dr. Ward is no small matter but i cannot believe he starts with pH and then move on to the nutrients. you have to know how your pH is constructed and it can be constructed not just by lime but by potassium, magnesium, and sodium. your pH may be "ideal" but may still be low in calcium. that is first principles so unless he is talking about local conditions...if your pH is less than 6, you can take it up not just with lime and you can do it faster with smaller amounts with sodium because sodium which can raise the pH 4x than calcium can. someone do corrrect me if i am wrong...mygreathanks and blessings
Thank you! This is excellent timing. I just received my soil test report from Ward lab today and really didn't know how to read it. The comment written in the middle of the page is ...this soil is extremely high in soluble salts. Potassium and sodium are so high that I doubt anything will ever grow well in this soil. NCW Since I just paid to have this garden put in, this is extremely frustrating.. I guess all I can do is replace the soil again.. If you have any other ideas, I would sure like to hear them. Thank you.
I find these discussions very interesting. Dr. Freeze is a fantastic presenter.
Love you Dr. Ward! Your older pod casts are treasure to all who love our lands. Please keep making new TH-cam videos as your knowledge is very special. I consider your conversations a key to success as you inform us to our mistakes directly and in a kind manner. Thank you so much.
We use your services and live by soil reports. It always nice to have a conference call with you after receiving the reports.
Where can i get this soil test?
Good info, but can you give some number ranges for each of these to get a better idea if healthy or not?
👍👍
Dear Sir, Excellent Video with valuable information on Cover Crops. We are growing Improved Samba Mahasuri (BPT5204) Rice Variety in our Agricultural lands. Cover Weed Echinochloa has exhibited growth. Our Rice Crop is growing especially for Diabetic People. Hence we don't want to apply Herbicides to kill Weeds. I observed the deficiency of moisture in Soil might be one of the reasons for the growth of Echinochloa Weed to maintain health of the soil through microflora etc. and balancing macro and micro nutrient excess/ deficiencies to the Soil and thus to the main Crop. As you have done excellent work in this discipline, I request you to kindly help us in sharing your knowledge to further progress our Cultivation Practices in growing Diabetic Friendly Rice Project with Glycemic Index Value of 50.99%. Your help and cooperation in this endeavour will be greatly acknowledged. Dr P. Jayapala
Thank you Dr. Ward on a good start on explaining a complex subject. We also get all our soil reports from you. It would be great if you explained OMRI certified products vs common urea fertilizers and how it effects the plant vs how some may think the plant knows a difference.
this is now out of date... can you please update the video for current form (and remove this video to prevent confusion)?
Congratulations for your PhD Patrick.
Thanks it was very helpful

I was able to do this with Weedborn CBD products.
Wow thank you!
That doesn't even account for the organic matter that is lost and its water holding capacity and infiltration!
