4000 pound concrete with fiber mesh is good. I did my brothers he had 3000 pound concrete and it been 10 years now. We did it exactly the way you did it
@@sirmister4411 still holding strong?
I was using a huge overhead crane trying to pull some stubborn concrete, a 3/4 anchor will stretch and tear in half before it will come out of good concrete. When they wedge in they really wedge in. Sounds like you got a great deal on the lift, sure it will be super useful around the homestead.
@@rawbacon yeah, usually the concrete fails around the wedge bolt, crumbling and widening the hole long before the bolt comes loose. Already been super handy.
Wow, there was a lot more to it than I realized. My friend has one similar to that and I get to use it once in a while. My garage doesn't have enough overhead clearance for a lift. But it's much easier to warm mine up.
Considering I literally built my barn to accommodate a lift (though my measurements were a bit off) and I've been waiting my whole life to and been preparing for many years to get one of these, this is one of those "level up" moments in my life. BTW, I looked into that "nut cracker/diy ammo press", I think you may be right. I'll bring it back up next week after a little more research. Thank you.
Great job. Thanks for this
The button keeps getting stuck for me, any trick to fix it?
@@nycaries4589 I'd try soaking the whole thing in clr, then work the switch back and forth a couple dozen times.
@@twosawacres8096I will try that!! Thank you!
Where do I find the tutorial please
@@tamarabarnette4994 hi there, I've gotten this question a few times now, I built this thing on the fly before I started my channel, I'll be putting a tutorial together soon.
your wife is a keeper great job
Agreed.
Good tip on those disks!
We had one as a kid. It is a pecan cracker
I put some particle board (OSB) in my fireplace that glue got so hot had to cover the screen with some sheet metal reduce the air flow got so hot. I can see why modern stick built homes burn down so fast.
@@Mike-01234 yeah, chemicals tend to enhance the temp.
That gentlemen is incorrect telling Cracker Barrel allows over night parking in their lot!!! You should always call ahead and ask if they permit over night parking!! I'm glad I called and spoke with the manager who told me the local laws do not allow over night parking, you'd be subject to the KNOCK and policeofficer interaction!!!
@@randy1203 this was several years ago now, he was just saying what worked for him at the time, I've heard that they've changed their policies since. We've had several comments about different companies and their rules. Thanks for the update though.
Can't say I noticed much of any difference. But I have some hearing issues from shooting a lot growing up without hearing protection. I would use the one you like the most.
@@roberthoffman4713 probably gonna stick with the new one for now, try out different settings, just really like the fwd facing screen.
I was wondering can you use boiler chemicals in these heaters to help control rust. Great work young man.
@@sudd2685 sure can, I've been using an additive since the beginning. Thanks for the comment and compliment, much appreciated.
I can't even get my phone to take a decent picture, everything always comes out too bright, I'm sure there's some simple setting to correct it and maybe one day I'll look into it, I've only had it for a couple years now and don't want to rush into anything.😂 Package of tools showed up on the porch yesterday......Thanks!
@@rawbacon tech stuff is getting better but more complex, the video editing software I'm using needs a two year degree to operate... Good thing you're in MI, the other packages went to other states and were just over $10 each, was expecting yours to be near 60, but was only 18...lol
Forgive me, as a guy who doesn’t have an outdoor wood burner, but could the clean out be a chemical one? It occurs to be that the creosote is carbon and a spray with a dilute oxygen agent might burn it off. Sodium Chlorate?
I suppose that could be possible, however, on my 4th season now, I've learned that it's just not worth the time or effort to bother cleaning out the creosote other than the occasional scraping. The boiler doesn't seem to be any less efficient, and it's not like there's any worry of the house burning down if there is a chimney fire. Actually, I've seen a few times now in the past month, when enough creosote builds up, it tends to burn itself out, looks like a tomcat afterburner... Kinda cool, I've been keeping a camera ready for the next time it does it.
You need to stoke it and get it really hot. Cardboard does not cut it dude. Gotta have that heat to bake the res off..
& do it daily
Just a fyi youtube asked me to rate your video. This must be something new? or maybe because you're a smaller channel. Hope the 5 stars helps you reach more people.
@@roberthoffman4713 Hmm, haven't heard of that before. I'll look into it, but thank you very much, I sincerely appreciate it.
The chain tool should come in handy with all the wood you cut.......Gonna have to try one of those strip disc for the angle grinder........Got some Scotch Brite (Off-Brand) wheels for the Dremel (Wen) recently and really like them.
I stayed to listen to the simplicity of this old trick, but the grease on the keeper made me glad I stayed. This is what info sharing should be like. Appreciate ya bud.
Super video,👍so i have an indoor wood burning stove with inbuilt boiler which is also coupled to an oil fire going to a 300liter tank for radiators. Now im constructing my first underfloor heating and the manifold, the system will be pumped from the 300 liter tank to the floor just like a radiator should I use a heat exchanger or is the shunt valve i have enough to control the heat of the water going into the floor, thanks
@@Irish_Balladeer if it's a concrete floor I'd recommend a mixing valve, it combines the water coming back out of the floor with the hot water from the boiler, you don't want 170 deg f + going into the concrete, more like 120-130. I used the plate exchanger to separate the boiler water from the in floor system, that way the glycol mix in floor never gets cruddy.
Cheers appreciate your answer and I have a mixing valve on the manifold so I can go ahead and connect it up 👍
Good improvement for sure if speeds matter to you 😊😊
@@philliphall5198 when processing 50+ face a year, speed really does matter. The last two years I just rented a wood processor.
I would pack that thing with a bunch of ashwood pallet boards and about 10 lb of rock salt it would burn that stuff out of there without having to scrape it.
The ground settled
If you buy the right Pex tool you may will save lots of time and not get mad!!
I do the same with tin foil and a dab of super glue. And everyone tells me I’m cheap just go buy a new remote. Well hey anyone can go buy a new remote but not too many can fix them
👍

@@twosawacres8096I worked at a construction company that did demolition work and I would cut 20 plus chains at a shot. I found it strange that they had a chain sharpener but they would send the chains out to have them sharpened. I don't think the boss knew how it worked. That's OK with me because I often had a bunch of stuff waiting for service, repairs or rebuilding.
Haha I've got one of those craftsman 1/4in spinny guys. I got it for free from a friend, thought it looked cool but I've never used it either. Pick it up when I'm thinking about something and spin er around but beyond that.... nope lol!

is there any way to install a manometer on it ?
@@fernfahrer69 I don't see why ya couldn't add one inline somewhere.
Thx for posting this. Pump mount looks sweet, still trouble free fuel delivery? And the setup been behaving well enough to utilize the 6a box? Thinking my still new in box Atomic might be less installation hassle since it's replacing stock TBI in my '91 305/700r4 Camaro when I finish my 383 build. Considering converting it just before the swap to ensure it's all set for the new engine - thoughts?
Been good so far, fine tuning has been a little finicky, and I had an issue a few months ago where it just died on me, turned out to be the power wire from battery. Fuel economy went from 5.75 to 7.5ish.

good start to the new year for me! maybe 2025 will be my year. 😁
In my community I have to grade and remove pot holes on our private gravel road. 20' wide and almost a mile long. I have been using my L3301 Kubota with a box blade. Great set up for pot holes. However I am now starting to have dips and knolls all along it. Any ideas how I can flatten our road back up? Unlike your situation, i cant go sideways on this, I can only go back and fourth. Thanks for your great Videos man!
@@bendavid994 my recommendation would be a land plane. Box blades are great, but also short, allowing for the knolls, the land plane is much longer, it will also fill in potholes pretty well. A long chunk of railroad like I used, pulled at a angle will cut down the high spots and fill in the low, but will always leave a wind-row on one side. Another possibility, use the box blade with the scarifiers down, loosen the drive pretty good, then use a land rake (York rake) at an angle to level, then straighten rake for final passes. Or rent a bulldozer! 😆
Well that's a nice way to end my day. I'm gonna have to get some Enchiladas & A Lottery Ticket.
or we just used up all our luck winning some unknown tools lol 🤣
Nice nut cracker.
