Among the last runs of the day today on course three. This Midget is chasing a new record of over 121 mph. The driver just passed his rookie run this morning and on his previous run got over 116.
where did you get the roofracks? i guess the stock rack is not rated for the weight of that tent...
It’s just a Yakima round bar rack with gutter mounts. Yes, much stronger than trying to use the factory rails.

I can set up and pack away my ground tent quicker than you can unpack your rtt. And it doesn't add a load of weight or height to the roof of my WJ.

Nice tent sirr do you think it will fit 2 adults and 2 kids?
It's the width of a King but 8 inches longer. Whether it will fit two adults and two kids depends on how much they wiggle.

what a pain
Have you noticed any bending in gutter rails. I put a smitty bilt on mine and noticed a bit of flex in the rails. Im wondering if i get another rail if it would reduce that flexing.
I Can tell you rn it’s a hit and miss some Bend some don’t it depends how much you spread the load out via multiple mounts
Where can I buy the cross bar?
The crossbars are old school Yakima round bars on gutter mounts. A set is usually under $100 on Craigslist.

Thanks but I still consider it a work in progress. Wheels and tires are from a Jeep Rubicon, mounted with wheel adapter spacers to get the correct bolt pattern. The lift is a Rough Country long arm kit, which I will soon upgrade with Fox shocks to improve the ride a bit. The rear bumper with tire carrier is from Smittybilt. A remanufactured TUPY cylinder head from a 2003 WJ is going on this week, to replace the troublesome head from the 2000-2002 model years. I am also going to regear the axles to match the larger tires; the parts are on my shelf and I just need to find a good week to do the work
@@kendelmccarley Bought my XJ Classic new in 2000. 208000 miles No leaks No oil consumption no problems ever. 4.5 inch Rubicon Express several years ago. No other mods.Love your overlander
