have you gone to nso? maybe you can bring a tape measure with you..? i’m sure the bed sizes are universal

Thank you for the wonderful tour! My son Adrian was recently accepted to Rutgers and he said that this is the best dorm tour he's seen and I would completely agree. So we visited during Thanksgiving 2 years ago and mainly visited the business school and got a tour from one of the business ambassadors and he had been interested in attending Rutgers ever since. I believe that we were on the Livingston campus? And did not have a chance to visit the other campuses. We have visited a couple of other schools that we feel have strong freshman support that helps them transition from HS to college, i.e. counselors that help them with scheduling classes, RA's that help them navigate to their classes the first few weeks, etc. How is Rutgers in terms of welcoming incoming freshmen? We are from the Houston, Texas area, so he will be far from home... Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

My son is a senior at Rutgers (boys don’t care about decorating their dorm rooms😂) but my daughter (a junior at Virginia Tech) Can still use some of these tips! Keep doing videos! you’re both really great at it!! This is the best, most realistic and practical dorm video I’ve seen and I’ve been looking for good dorm videos for a few years now! Do you need to bring your own tools to adjust the bed height? or is that something that can be snap in (tool-less)? The room don't have AC so you need to buy your own fans?
No tools needed to adjust the bed height! We had to take the mattress off and turn it on its side and it took some effort to snap in, but no tools needed. And yeah that’s correct no AC and you’ll need to bring your own fans. There’s the VERY rare occasion that a freshman dorm will have AC!

hiii! this was such a helpful video but i have a question about laundry? would you recommend tide pods or detergent or those laundry detergent sheets?
Hey!! I’d recommend normal liquid detergent and a liquid softener, and we brought some dryer sheets as well. Kept it all in a little tote bag that I brought down when doing my laundry! Just like doing laundry at home except I didn’t use the cups to measure, I just poured it right in the sections in the top of the machine.

Hey, I’m going to be in Mettler this fall. I was wondering- are we actually allowed to put up LED lights and does it cause any issues when moving out with ResLife?
Awesome you’re gonna have so much fun! Nope, we never had any issues and we also knew a lot of people with the LED lights and haven’t heard of any issues at all!

Thank you!! ❤️ We got an extra long tension rod, somewhere between 62 and 94 inches I believe! As for the length, I believe they were 84in

hi loved your video, my son is coming in freshman college ave at pell, would you know how the set up & location is at pell ? hes a business major & selected CA over Livingston. Hope he made right choice.
Hi!! Thank you so much! Pell is located in the same courtyard as most of the dorms. Great location, right near a bus stop. I haven’t been inside Pell, but I’m pretty sure the rooms are a little bit bigger and wider than our room but the building itself is smaller. I am also a business major and living on CA definitely worked out great for me! I only ended up having a few classes on Livingston despite the business school being there, but even so, the busses are great and it was rarely a hassle to get over there for classes. Typically, everyone will have classes on each campus at some point. CA has a great community feel, but Livingston is a short bus ride away to get to class, the movie theater, or basketball games! Cant go wrong!
