I'm in love with the 7" With carpet. But not for camping. I think it would be perfect to put my dogs bed on top and then below you can still get your stuff there. A lot of people buy 4Runners because of their roll down back window for their dogs.

Build one of these for the new 250 Land Cruiser and you'll be a Rich man. There's an entire community missing the Tailgate where we can sit and camp. I'm Very serious.

No info on headroom for the bed. That's very important.

If you're taller than 5'10" or so, forget about sleeping in a Rav 4.

I really like the cargo shelf design. However, the extension above the seats looks unstable and like it could easily be detached from the notches on the main shelf. I’m curious if this really is a problem with real life use or not

Cute. I'm coming from the backpacking space, so far more minimalist. I'm just trying to find a solution to the not flat rear seat. Then, I'll throw my 12v refrigerator, Jackery, solar, Blackstone, one bin of gear, fishing gear, pillow, and I'm GTG. Still working on the sleeping deck. I don't plan to build anything, like a plywood platform.

I ordered mine a few days ago after watching one of your other videos. I've been camping in my RAV4 for a few weeks this summer, but it will be nice to have a flat floor to sleep on and a place to organize all the stuff necessary for car camping. I appreciate this video, as it will certainly help me figure out how to put it together. I've done plenty of Ikea construction, so this looks like it will be a breeze. I can't wait to to receive mine.

Can you use just half the bed (on the passenger side) and leave the rear seat up on the driver's side?

Really nice looking product. Will you be counter sinking hinges so the sleeping panels will fold flat. Also the screws don't look like they fit flush - perhaps the hinges need to have countersunk holes bored in them.
