I took my Yamaha T7 for a ride and packed up my Tenkara rod to do some fishing. Quick review on how I use it.

Tenere 700 Ride through the Ozarks. Both on and off-road.
มุมมอง 3292 ปีที่แล้ว
I took a ride through the Ozark Mountains on the Yamaha T7. Took a spur off highway 23 and hit some ATV trails before I got back onto 23. Footage does not do it justice on how rough these trailers were but the T7 handled them like a champ.

Centerpoint to Goat Trail
มุมมอง 1042 ปีที่แล้ว
A fun hike that is located in Compton, AR. You start off on the Counterpoint trail and from there you take a spur that connects you to the goat trail. We did the hike in July but luckily we were able to finish it before the temps got above 90. I would list the hike as moderate. You do have to do a little climbing and crawling to get to the good parts but it's not bad. The hike back out is a ste...

A $80 slip on exhaust for the Yamaha Tenere 700
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows the sound quality of this exhaust I got off Amazon. I have had a lot nicer exhausts but for the price, this one is not bad. You can choose different finishes and even length. They are all pretty close. I would be cautious of the fake carbon finishes as I have heard they fade over time. Overall its a good, cheap alternative exhaust option for the T7. The mid pipe is one for a Ho...
Quickest Tenere 700 Shock removal on Youtube
มุมมอง 4.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick and easy method of removing the rear shock on the T7. You will need to do this if you are going to restring the rear shock or change the valving. I had the covers removed prior but those will only add a couple minutes to the process. Should be able to do it all under 10 to 15 minutes your first time. I would also recommend lubing the linkage while you have the shock out. Mine was pretty g...

The Kriega 24 liter luggage on Yamaha T7

Showing how the Kriega bags mount on the T7. The bags are 12L each so that gets you 24L total. I show what I would take on a normal overnight camping trip.
Things to buy for your Yamaha T7 before you buy your T7.

I go over accessories that I believe you should go ahead and buy while waiting on your Tenere 700. I also will go over items that you can hold off on ordering. This will allow you to have everything you need and nothing you don't when your T7 finally shows up. Links to parts. I would definitely change my voice. This guy’s voice is hideous. I would change my voice because the stock voice is hideous.
Any difference besides the sound?
Did you have to tune your bike after install of pipe?
i havent seen a detail for the battery tender. I did not understand what exactly it is for. 😊 GPS tracking system cells cause bad scenarios I really want to know If it is kind a jump starter or something
Great vid man, easy, simple, to the point.
With that mount system, can you mount the 32 lt bags?
I'm looking to buy a used one that has everything in this video except the bags!
RAM sucks. Quad is best. Have had both.
can you install the bars without remove the plastics???
Do the Heed bars fit with the high fender?
I was really interested in buying a world raid then decided nah, because I started adding up the cost of adding bits of kit to it not in the least a high level exhaust to fix the ridiculous design flaw that Yamaha shouldn't have made in the first place or at least rectified themselves with an update.
The low mount exhaust will possibly bend or break the mounting bracket on a hard enough fall. I figured at that point I’ll just buy a high mount exhaust as you’ll have to cut that bracket anyways. 10,000 miles and it hasn’t been on its side yet.
Thats a 24L setup? 2x 12L
Correct 2 12l bags. I also bought the 36l system which is 2 18l bags and then I attach one of the 12l bags on the seat
Great video! Lots of very good advice. Would you say these bags protect the exchaust in crash/tip over?
I wouldn’t bank on it.
My friend told me he wanted to buy his first adv bike a yamaha T7 I told him i bought a 2023 BMW GSA1250 Then I bought: Garmin 6 BMW panniers new aria helmet klim Pro A3 jacket Pants BMW adv boots Misc bike acces kriega water proof 40L 30L 20L bags HEX GS911 Cardo Edge pack talk Big angus tent ms stove rei folding ice chest misc tools You do the math He told me I was scaring him
great recommendation on the Heed crash bars. i got them too. fantastic product. fit perfect, fit quick. look great. strong AF
I'm trading or selling my Africa Twin and picking up a T7 when the local dealer up here in NW Arkansas gets one in at the end of the month. My AT is built out pretty good, but I went too heavy with some of the mods/equipment. Great video to let me know what others are putting on straight from the showroom.
I live in the area. Let me know when you get it!
@@adventurejunkie9658 Will do! Even if it takes a little bit to get the T7, I'll ride my AT with you somewhere.
Is there a name of it? on Amazon ??
I posted links but no name.
big thank you! Great video - very helpful - cheers from Hamburg Germany!
Man I’m looking to get that os luggage but 12l is that enough for a two night trip?
I honestly eventually got the 18l bags also so I’m covered on short and long trips. This also allows me to use one of the 12l bags for a tail bag. Plenty of room for several nights if you pack right.
Thanks for the video, is the tank bag also kriega?
It’s rigg gear
Thanks, Nice simple explanation.
How did the new spring feel? I did not see a review video...
Perfect! Thanks so much!
Definitely agree with doing the oil change yourself. Dealership really rips people on service
Amazon special! Lol
In Poland they make best accessories for normal price.I bought Dominator exhaust for my bike and i will only by from them in future. They have good under seat for Tenere for reasonable price.
Great vid, what’s The model name for the barkbusters?
How has it held up?
So far holding up great!
4k or go home!!
Any way I can get the gpx files for this?
Great video. I just bought a Tenere. Helpful!! Especially those Heed crash bars - makes sense.
Be nice to know the brand name of the exhaust you bought???
There isn't a brand. Just click on the link I posted
I think Touratech are sturdier.
Based on?
Touratech "What" are sturdier?
@@adventurejunkie9658 I have BMW brand and Touratech brand of most things they make. One set in USA and one in France. I own no car. I ride 12 months a year. Through three continents. I fall periodically off road. So. Based on that. Crash bars. Panniers. Top cases. Textiles. Boots. Even under garments. Lights. Bags. Suspensions. All of it. Touratech makes the BMW aluminum panniers. Thinner and not as well designed as TT branded ones. I’ve been riding for 61 years. My USA bike is a BMW 1200 GS Adv. European bike 2018 Yamaha T700 With remanufactured wheels (spoke tubeless). In Europe I’ve been through every significant mountain pass in every country other than Russia, Ukraine, and Poland. Multiple times. In Africa, the Atlas mountains, and of course the Sahara. In April I leave to do Corsica,Elba, Sardinia, and Sicily on pavement with wife on back. 35 days. Then she flies home and I take ferry to Tunisia and then wherever circumstances take me. I usually come back in September. The Yam is the perfect European bike. The Beemer, the perfect American. If I go south to Mexico, Central and South America I’ll probably buy a 450 cc twin and flat black it. The danger there is not the road. It’s people.
Studying up on the T7 and found your channel. Good stuff. Thanks for the reviews. Subbed.
How would it be with a passenger on the back?
Wouldn't be comfortable
Thanks for the great review and recommendations. I'm up in New Bern, NC and have been waiting about 6 months for a new T7 to become available. I subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to joining the ADV bike community.
Dude you take way to much time talking about every little aspect of the product instead of just getting to the point. There is no reason to go off topic instead of saying why you tend to ramble
are they 18L or 12L bags? cheers
These are 12l bags in the video. I have moved up to the 18l bags and use one of the 12l bags as a tail bag.
Great video!!! Waiting for a 22 T7 -mid to late August!
Very good review. Do you know if the bags would work with the OEM rear rack or does it need something else to secure the bags to the bike . Thanks
You wouldn’t be from NE Arkansas would you? My son and I have been researching the T700 for awhile now and still haven’t found one in stock to see in person yet. We were originally going to get a pair of BMWs but after reviewing the 700 we feel it would be a better fit for us.
I'm actually from the Fort Smith AR area so more on the NW side. I lucked out on this one. Found it forsale outside Oklahoma city. It was the first one I saw in person.lol
Hey your bike is set up nicely, thanks for sharing! Also thanks for linking the parts that's very helpful. I've got a 2022 and I want to start with the tail tidy and all four turn signals. How hard was the turn signal install and which relay did you use? That windscreen mod is so cool, I think I'm going to have to do that and the bark busters too.
I used the relay from camel adv. It was pretty easy. Fronts took maybe 30 minutes. The rear took longer if you factor in taking about the trail section and putting the tail tidy on. That took at good hour or so.
@@adventurejunkie9658 cool, thanks!
I ordered same exhaust and mid pipe as you did. I am having troubles connecting the new exhaust, did you have to order new adapter coupling piece to make this set up work?
Do you have the bike jacked up from the skid plate to get the wheel off the ground? I can't see in the video, you never drop the camera low enough to tell.
Yes, the bike needs to be jacked up. It’s also handy to place a bottle jack under the end of the swinging arm to support it as it makes it far easier to replace the shock not having to lift the wheel and swing arm to align the bolt holes.
Hi there, Today just orderex new t700 and all information included in this materiał is vefy helpful. Thanks a lot.
Hi good video my friend..I just got new T7..And I've got these panniers to go on my trip next month..I was wondering can you fit these on with back handlebars on the bike as I noticed that you have no handlebars on the back of the bike in the video...cheers J
Hello. I don't have. TH-cam channel, so I thought I'd add to your work. I just received my Kriega 18 liter bags. I chose Kriega, as the bags are waterproof. Some of the competitors that get a lot of praise due to cost/value are cool, but they come with dry bags that must be inserted. Just seemed like an unnecessary step. And...I can't say this about may products these days, but the Kriega product is made exceptionally...if not perfectly well. I'm critical...but I'm totally impressed and delighted.
What’s the top end on it?
Sounds good. No popping on decel so it must not have effected the tune much.
No not at all. You have a catalytic converter still that is your main restriction so a slip on will not need tuning.
Question about the Heed crash bars. When you picked your shipping option did you choose the less expensive of the 2 which was ~40. The other one for UPS is astronomical. Just checking to see which you chose
