Hey, thanks for the comment. Best spot for beginners is Rowan beach between the black and white flags. It's a nice flat beach, no rocks. Worst time to surf is low tide as the whole bay has waves that just crash down known as close outs. It's where the wave does not peal, it just crashes down into shallow water. Easiest way to read the surf forecast is to know the best time to surf the beach of your choice. So if it was Great Weston then you could say 2-3 hours after the high tide. The waves pulling back but it tends to create clean ridable lefts. So now I know that, by speaking to locals and finding out. I can go to absurd app. Look at the wave size. If it says 2ft then that should mean there is a wave to learn on. Next check the wind. If the wind is over 10mph plus and blowing onto the shore then that 2ft wave will be no good, the wind will destroy it. It's best to look for a 2-3ft day, ideally with an offshore, slightly cross shore wind that's no more than 15mph. The only way is to get a surf app life sutfline and look at the wind direction, swell direction and wind speed and wave hight. It is also worth looking at secondary swell. If the secondary swell is bigger than the 2-3ft main swell then that can lead to unpredictable larger waves. But there are many videos by sutfline on TH-cam. 🤙

Now that is a good question and I have no idea. I was more focused on the inner bladders, how much weight it could carry and how good it was for control. But I never looked at drop stitching. It's an amazing kayak, I love my one and I have had some amazing adventures so far. 🤙

The floor will be drop stich as it’s inflated to 8.5psi the side chambers won’t be. I’ve got the Aqua Marina Spirit single seat and they look very similar, I’m very happy with the AM, I’d advise checking the weight limits of any kayak your interested in.

I think the one man is perfect for myself. I could easily fit a kit in it. But it depends on your kit. I would assume low weight, titanium etc then not a problem but if it was canvas, large sleeping bag, mat and stainless then yeah it would be tight. As for fishing I am sure you could just watch the hooks 😂. Two man would definitely be bigger if you had lost of kit.

@@twosurfersinavan thanks mate, my kit fits in a 50 litre rucksack so isnt massive, but can get a 2 man for £280.or the one man for £185 so waa just weighing it up. Appreciate the reply

Well, that is a question. I am currently waiting on getting my computer drive back. It's got the footage on and it corrupted. On top of all that drama, the worst luck, everything. Half way through editing it was corrupted. But Simon the guy who is sorting it has saved most of the footage luckily. I hope to have it back by the end of the week. So possibly next week depending on what's been rescued. But thanks for asking. Only had 2 people ask. 😂.

It's definitely a big size. I think it's like all camping kit. You have your traditionalists that love canvas, steal and heavy kit. Then you have others that live the light weight and titanium stuff. They definitely have a market and so far this kit has been well used and it's outlasted my lightweight kit. But I would definitely not hike with it. But as a base camp tent its amazing. I actually put it in the 4x4 and take it wild camping and off-roading. Have an epic one 🤙

Yeah, I think the list price was close to that. I can't remember the exact cost, it's been a while since I bought it. But I am sure you can get them for like £280. But yeah, quality seams really good vs the other I had that was £220 at full price. It was super thin, single bladder etc. this thing is really good.

No, I am a few month in, used it around 10 times since buying it and I love it. It's super fun, quality is fantastic. I definitely recommend it. 👍

These are amazing kit, been a few years since I recorded this and it still looks new. Me and my wife actually slept in this one together haha. It was a tight squeeze. But canvas is amazing, I have a few sleep setups but canvas is my favorite.
