    I can’t abandon Christianity once I had encountered Christ. He is not God, but the Son of God. The question to everyone who considers themselves Christians. Aside from your current church, friends, and your own mind. Has God ever encountered you apart from what I just mentioned. When God shows you a miracle as those in the Bible, you ain’t ever going to be the same or doubt it.

      @@kristheexxtian I too left a Christian denomination of 28yrs. It was because I never Encountered God in it and that’s why I left. But then I encountered Jesus, and that was the game changer. All churches mean well, and there are two sides to churches. Well meaning churches that are accurate in scripture interpretation and well meaning churches with inaccurate interpretation. Usually, people depart from churches with inaccurate interpretation because God never shows up in those groups. 2timothy 2:15-17. God says to study to show yourselves approved before him. And that pretty much sums up your conviction. Because when he reveals himself. You really can’t deny it. But when people try to convict you, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t and sometimes it goes horribly wrong like Jones town.

    I just came across your channel through the algorithm due to searching for stories of deconstruction. By coincidence, I also live in Las Vegas. I have 3 grown children who I love very much. It’s a long story but I was absent through much of their developmental years. They lived with their father and continued to attend evangelical churches (in Southern California, where I’m from). As I said, they are all grown now and married. One of my sons attended Cal Baptist in Riverside, teaches bible study and now has gone on to get an advanced degree in “religious” studies. He is currently living in Scotland. My other son lives in San Diego and my daughter is in Dallas. They have all returned to or continued to attend and worship in evangelical churches. As their mother, it is difficult that I couldn’t have had more influence in their lives. I’m culturally Jewish, but was brought up to be allowed to have my own mind when it comes to religion and spiritual beliefs. Thankfully she doesn’t try to evangelize, she knows my opinions so we don’t go there. I spent many years going to church and bible studies, etc. when I was married to her dad. I was baptized. I’m very aware and I guess that’s why it’s concerning to me. The power of suggestion is a very strong force. Texas is very conservative and of course politics gets thrown in to the mix. In addition to what is expressed below the Church symbolized Transubstantiation in the ceremony of the Mass. That way the laity could understand symbolically the hard problem of today’s scientists and philosophers: consciousness as other than material and which, for all science’s expertise today, it can neither measure nor classify.

      @@kristheexxtian I am at leisure. You obviously do not know about The Precession of the Equinoxes, the cycle from a higher age to a dark age and up again to a higher age. This is known in the East. In the West I think the belief is that civilization only came a relatively short time ago, which is incorrect. In higher ages they knew about everything. Intelligence decreases and increases with the cycles. We have left a dark age behind and are entering an atomic and quantum age where much will be discovered, or rather rediscovered. Life is cyclical in reality and linear to perception.

  • @ALavin-en1kr
    @ALavin-en1kr หลายเดือนก่อน

    The Catholic Church was and still is the beacon of Christianity. The Church fathers held councils and worked out the hard problems and guided the laity and kept cults at bey. The biggest problem, before the Age of Reason, was the dark occult and it was imperative that it be kept out of the mainstream. The Church had to deal with topics such as Transubstantiation, which Atheists make fun of today, but which could have had a destabilizing effect on the populace of the time. In our atomic and quantum age we can understand that forms are in essence energy at different rates of vibration, which would be incomprehensible or destabilizing in medieval times. Today science refers to consciousness as the hard problem. The Church has an answer for that as well, but today’s science, which is totally materialistic, is not interested. The Church is an institution inhabited and run by humans, who are not all intellectual or spiritual giants, but it does the best it can. People blame their problems on a lot of things, sometime their complaints are valid, and sometimes the last thing they want to acknowledge as the cause of their problems is themselves.

      There is no historical evidence or eyewitness reports to what is claimed in both the Old and New Testament. It’s all fanciful stories used to create an origin for the Hebrews and later Christians. The Church patriarchs had great reasons to back up the narrative, power over the people. Science isn’t your enemy it’s your friend that’s trying to keep you alive.

      @@kristheexxtian I don’t see science as my enemy or anyone’s enemy. It advances the human cause even though because it operates in a dual system it is not perfect. It can have, and does have, both good and bad outcomes, for every boon there is a bane. Still science is our friend but we cannot realistically expect it to solve all problems or be without a down side. That is the nature of material life. It is neither all good or all bad but a mix of both.

      The superstitions of the old age are dying as they should when confronted by the hard science of the modern era. More and more people are slowing leaving religion for a science based worldview. By 2050 there will be more nonreligious people than those who cling to the superstitions of the past. What’s your chosen career? Do you work in teaching or a scientific based career?

    • @ALavin-en1kr
      @ALavin-en1kr หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kristheexxtian The “hard science of the modern era” so far has learned a lot about matter and how to measure it, to use it chemically as medicine etc. What it has not done is solve what is called “the hard problem of consciousness” or fully understood the forces of nature or the mind. Electricity for example, how many forms are there, or what is magnetism? There is a lot to be discovered yet. Science in a dual system is necessarily also dual, having both good and bad outcomes is inevitable. It is impossible to have one outcome without the other. The side effects of medicine is one outcome and many people are harmed or die annually due to reactions to medicine. They are collateral damage. Still science does have benefits but it is not a panacea. I would not deify science or think it will save mankind or do anything other than ameliorate some physical problems and suffering. There is still much suffering in life, both physical and mental. I have an interest in science but never worked in the filed. I am currently at leisure, happily so.

    At 0:23, I invite you to do a deep dive into what "born again" in the famous verse John 3:3, actually means. The key words to focus on are the metaphorical definition of 'gennao' G1080 (to beget) and 'anothen' G509 (from above, from Heaven above, 'again', etc). Many people think that being "born again" is a feeling or an emotional event or some vague "spiritual" experience. When understood rightly, "born again" or "begotten from above" will blow your mind, it is so simple and powerful. Being begotten from above or born from above touches on the distinction between the man-made and the truly, truly divine. The vast majority of churches teach man-made doctrine, typically focusing on "the church fathers" instead of on Father YHVH and His Son who is The Example of HOW to walk in the truly, truly divine Instructions of Father YHVH. Even my mother had terrible experiences growing up in a Lutheran church where pastors would say terrible things to people grieving over the loss a loved one and espouse things that are clearly NOT FOUND in the Bible. The hypocrisy of these churches and the apathetic/bitter/hypocritical people who attend them do incredible damage and PUSH people FAR AWAY from knowing Him, loving Him and walking in His Ways instead of walking in the dead, heavy, and burdensome doctrines and traditions of men. We are commanded to love God and to love one another. AND the Bible gives us clear definitions of what "love God", and "love one another" actually mean so we are not left confused. But you will rarely hear such things in mainstream church, because it would destroy the church (the church must survive at all costs, even if they have to sacrifice the Truth of God's Word). Jesus came to teach the truly divine Doctrine of His Father and repeatedly rebuked the religious people of His time, the Pharisees, scribes and "teachers" of the Torah of YHVH. If Jesus walked into a church today and started preaching the Divine Word of His Father, they would kick Him out! Mark my word!

      I would challenge you to look into the historical accuracy of the Biblical narrative. Modern scholars both Christian and Secular are in agreement the Old Testament didn’t happen as it is stated in the Bible. It’s most likely Abraham, Moses, Joshua, the taking of Canaan never existed. The Bronze Age Hebrew created a history, an origin tale to share with their society. None of it happened. As for the New Testament there is no historical proof of Jesus outside of the Bible. Some quote Josephus and Roman historical figures, but none of them were contemporaries of Jesus and were non eyewitnesses. Even the gospels were written by non eyewitnesses. My deconstruction started with observation of the hypocrisy in churches and was solidified by the historical data. I’m no longer a Christian because it simply never happened. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    If anyone reads Numbers 31 carefully in the Bible, they will see the terrible morality of Jesus / God. In this incident, Jesus commands the slaughter of entire population of people, that is all women, men, boys, except for young virgins. The young virgins become property of the invading army. Then these virgins are listed along with cattle, goats as the property taken from the war. Then in verse 40, 32 virgins were a "tribute for the lord" meaning sacrifice to Gog / Jesus. Can anyone read this and still believe Jesus / God is not a monster? Think about these people who where slaughtered and the surviving virgin girls.

      Idiotic claims is what Christians do best hun. There is no historical evidence anything in the Biblical narrative actually happened. You are paying your pastor’s bills with your faith offerings, so there’s no way he’s gonna tell you Paul didn’t write all of the 14 books that bear his name. No one is gonna confess there’s no evidence of the Egyptian Exodus. Isn’t it funny how no one experiences miracles like the ones that occurred in the Bible in modern times, and I’m guessing you vote for Trump.
