It is such a great course Christer. The whole place is well cared for and looked after by its members. They repair pitchmarks and replace divots, something I always love to see 👍

I thought she had it for the 'net' win Tony 🙄 Thankfully the wind exaggerated the break and Debi missed low. I was hoping she'd miss the return so I'd get a win. I seem to be having a little more luck against Debi at The Halifax than I did at West End...hooray for me 😉

@@GeoffWinstanley-tg3zy No problems at all Geoff. Corrine is doing really well. She and Trigg moved home this last year, Luna had pups and she and Trigg moved golf club so they have both been tied up with her and the moves. The CoppaFeel Charity Day has been relocated to Cave Castle and of course Corrine had to do all the logistics around that. We moved home course ourselves so Corrine and Trigg didn't get across here as often as they would normally. @@paulburton210 I'd certainly agree with the 'Ball in Divot Rule' Paul. That should definitely be looked at. The gimmes? I don't mind, its all part of matchplay. If I was asking for a putt to be given...then I'd expect to be asked to hole out. I don't mind being asked to putt out even from a couple of inches...it just makes me laugh folks think you'd miss or be annoyed to putt from short distances when you would have to putt out in stroke play 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yeah, that's the 17th at The Halifax Golf Club Will. It's our signature hole, a bit whacky as I've hit as little as wedge and as big as a 5wood to that green...it's probably over a 100ft drop from the tee box so it is always a guessing game 😉

Grant: What would you do Kent? Me: I'd be laying up, but if you feel confident Rors...hit what you think. Rory: I'm hitting it on. He hit it into the bank but fair play to him...no fear at that age, just pulled the club and hit it 👏👏👏

@darrenarbergolf He definitely backs himself. His putting is a little suspect at the moment but hopefully he will be up during his holidays next year and its something that we can work on? I think my putting and short game is ok, so we'll see how he goes???

Rory said he could and Grant said I'll bet you a fiver you can't without getting wet...that was enough for Rory, he was all in on it 🤣🤣🤣 Going down nine they had a double or quits Rory couldn't make a 5...he did so a great day for him, played with us, his Dad carried for him AND he earned a tenner! 👍👍👍

A little bit over confident there I think by Debi, don’t you Will? I tell you what though…Debi definitely gave up after the tee shots, which is unlike her. We played today, she totally missed the green (a long way right 😂) chipped on and holed the putt…I was ten foot away, lipped the putt and ended up hearing her immortal words…”3 for 2, I win!!!” 😂😂😂

We've been really lucky with the weather so far, no snow to mention, course is fully open (other than tee mats and fairway mats) on greens...kick off into the semi if you dont want to play from a mat. Can I ask you a question please? You know how you actively work on your speed? Do you use one of the Speed Stick systems...I've been looking at the Rypsticks on Amazon, I am considering getting one in the New Year sales should one be places in there. Thanks 👍

@@KentnDebi I have had a great christmas. Got an early christmas present from UPS. My Mizuno CLK #2 hybrid got delivered in time. For the speed training I only use my driver and swing as fast I can. I'm trying to find speed by using my legs as much I can. I have also looked at rypsticks and similar speed training systems. Other than that I have started with some rubber band exercises to strengthen my legs and glutes.

@SvingitGolf That may be worth trying...although our course is pretty hilly so my legs get a work out every day 😉 I'll bet you are on first name terms with the UPS delivery guy 🤣🤣🤣

@WillStonehouse-golf We are a moorland course Will. If you hit it off line it's hard to move the ball. Where Joe landed used to be a rock quarry that was 'filled in' and the moor took over. The lie he had was disgusting, I was surprised that he even contemplated taking it on...glad he did though 😉
