CARBON, IOWA EF3 TORNADO - FULL VERSION!
Minimally-edited footage of the Carbon, Iowa tornado on May 21st, 2024. This tornado was on the ground for 32 miles, producing EF3 damage. We were around 1-2 miles from this tornado as it crossed in front of us and we lost visual, only to see it several minutes later as it roped out.

Greenfield had a blip of wind over 300 mph but it wasn’t sustained like some of the others. As mentioned already that Bridge Creek monster back in 1999 was a nightmare.
The Iowa greenfield tornado was not the strongest in history that title goes to the 1999 bridge creek Moore tornado at windspeeds of 321 miles per hour while greenfield had 318 miles per hour
Those windspeeds are the max winds derived Greenfield had a higher minimum windspeed than Bridgecreek, at 312 over 302 But Bridgecreek is contextually stronger damage wise, max wind, and highest wind duration wise. But that doesn’t nor shouldn’t devalue the absolute might of Greenfield
Storm chasers are the most bipolar species on earth. They’re ready to do a circle jerk when they see a tornado on the ground and/or start spewing lunatic phrases like “multiple vortices.” But the minute it hits a house that they’re within eyeshot of they start with ‘Oh no, please God, not the house.’ Where do you fools think any of the debris that gets lofted into the air when you yell “look at the debris!!!” Where do you clowns think the shrapnel getting launched comes from? No one ever wants to see anyone injured for killed during a tornado, but the moronic comments are so out of control now that it seems like that disclaimer should be at the beginning of every video.
