@@mb_movies I train people in Vegas Pro and other tech stuff, but I am no where in your league to create beautiful short films. I want to do more backwards movement in my videos, either me walking backwards and playing it forwards forwards to give it a cool effect, or other stuff backwards, like in the movie Tenet. Do you have any suggested videos that inspire you?

Worked with vegas myself for smaller edits, still one of my favorite video editing softwares^^ Seems like you have the most important, first step for your project: the idea. My short film also started with only the idea of headphones that can teleport you and turned into so much more in the end. I can recommend 2 other YT channels from filmmakers who can give some nice tips: Ryan Camp and Jussi Alexander.

Thank you so much for your VERY detailed feedback! 😁 I'll have your points in my mind for future vfx videos to make them even better^^ 1:40 yeah, that was the tripod 😬 I guess i messed up the movement a bit or moved a bit it in general 1:53 I made the effect by myself with Fusion (part of Davinci). This (german) tutorial was really helpful: th-cam.com/video/ViO7sd1crzo/w-d-xo.html 2:07 haven't filmed a good transition and a simple cut didn't look better 😅 2:09 of course, that would've been awesome! 😄 I filmed it all by myself and almost everytime i started to film, people walked by, so 2 more aspects that made it more complicated, but no excuses for the next project 😄😁 2:14 that's up to the viewer 😉 notice that there is also a blurred scene in the credits...so was it really only on the TV? 😄 I'm really glad you like it overall and watched it so carefully! Let me know if you create something. I'd love to watch it, too.

I was guessing you filmed yourself first on the tripod, and then shot a separate take where you quickly yanked the camera down. Then you reversed it and put the two together with VFX. 1:53 WOw! Well I actually watched some of that tutorial despite the language barrier, thankfully YT has captions auto-translate which mostly just gave me a general idea. Using my already existing VFX knowledge I can see the idea behind what he did :) pretty cool! I think I didn't realize it was only a transition. If there was lightning that flashed across from left to right to reveal the next shot that would I think visually work better as a transition because I would, as a viewer, intuitively understand that was a transition. 2:09 Oh wow okay. Well very good for filming by yourself, and also I get the difficulty of people walking by 😆😬. Oh yeah I see 2:25. I guess it was real, just not sure what the TV means then XD. Maybe he has special technology like his phone and the TV could have a security camera. @@funnyfisher7 1:40 that would also be a good way to film it, but i actually didn't reverse the video, instead i just cutted out the part where I walked in front of the camera.^^ maybe it moved a bit, as I let go of the tripod handle. 1:53 yeah, his tutorials are fun to watch 😄 great that you also got the idea of the effect 2:07 I agree, that would have been a really nice transition!
