The problem is there are likely going to be numerous GM/HC openings in 18 days. I would think The Giants will be near the bottom of the list to attract any candidates given the disaster of the past decade. Top candidates are likely not coming here.

18 more days to go until the season is over but who's counting. What would put a cherry on the top would be for Michael Penix Jr, who GM passed on, to have a strong performance on Sunday.

I cannot stand Joe Schoen, and Brian Daboll has been handcuffed by Schoen's ineptness in drafting players. The roster was a respectable bunch of players with a weak QB and no OL when Schoen and Daboll were hired 3 seasons ago. The first year with the inherited squad from Dave Gettleman, the Giants were able to enter the playoffs and win a road game. After they were destroyed in their next series by their most hated rival, the Giants have gotten progressively worse each season. What Schoen has done is to purge the roster from the Gettleman draft picks, except for a couple of players. Schoen is an absolute disaster as a GM, and Brian Daboll, who was called "the QB whisperer" for his time in Buffalo with Josh Allen. If Daboll was such a great QB coach why hasn't he been able to help any of the QB's during his tenure with the Giants. Josh Allen is also doing better now without Daboll, so Allen doesn't miss Dabs. They both need to be fired, along with the horrendous DC Shane Bowen!

I think if Schoen/Daboll return, we MUST assume the tanking is "sanctioned" by Mara. And thats why they are trying to play PR games like they did with Talkin Giants because they are signaling "hey, these guys are coming back." While I think they have made some major mistakes (namely Schoen), I think they are smart enough to recognize that and learn from them as well (in mara's mind at minimum). I also refuse to believe that Daboll has become Jason Garrett. DJ was not the answer, and Hard Knocks showed they (Daboll/Schoen) already knew that, but sometimes you just don't have the ability to make the move you want to make. We all saw who they wanted, and we know they tried to get to #3 (at least). They got the best player they could get under the circumstances. So the plan was to use DJ until it became unviable. And it was certainly was. So they are in tank mode to avoid giving up the farm just to get a couple of late season wins that nobody will remember. Release DJ for that matter, that way you have a plausible reason for not fielding a competitive offense. They want to win...but right or wrong...they are putting all of those eggs in the new QB basket. So I think we have at least 1 more season of both of these guys. And more depending on how that goes.

Honestly, I think Mara is going to bring back Schoen/Daboll to draft their own QB, despite the displeasure from the fan base. So, I think these exercises are unfortunately futile. Pat Hanlon heavily protested when the "Talkin Giants" channel suggested reasons why Schoen should be fired, so it seems like the organization is doubling down in support of the current regime.

Stop trying to put a bandaid on the situation and draft a quarterback and fix this OL. Time for some new energy in Met Life

Good stuff guys. I’d just like to point out that teams potentially picking ahead of the Giants that have their QB will likely just trade down to QB needy teams. It happens every year almost and you have to secure pick 1 or 2. Even in weaker QB years the value of a decent starting QB is a hugely valuable commodity and the teams at the top of the draft know that

Now they can trade back, but you'll have to look at who's available in 2026 and understand there's no guarantee you'll have a high draft pick in the top 3

Vrabel: Joe Judge with skill, talent and a proven record but there are other teams better suited to take advantage of him, Why would he choose the Giants ?

They won’t get rid of Chris Mara or Tim McDonnell. They just will not do it. IF, they get rid of Schoen and Daboll (still not convinced that’s the right move), better chance than not Mara goes back to his former ways and brings in someone he knows.

You would have wanted Belichick to be GM? He was an awful GM. He would have hired the same retreads as coaches and we would have looked like the Patriots alright. Just not the version we hoped.

Why Vrabel. His Tennessee teams were mid at best. Worst than the our bad teams. Mackiewicz reason was weak, we have his old defensive coordinator. We are already running his defense. We are mike Vrabel. Brian Daboll was acting tough. We lost wink. Hire Wink Martindale.

It is estimated 7 to as many as 10 head coaches will be fired. Vrabel is likely to have his pick from several teams, why would he select the Giants? Being a dumpster fire organization the Giants will likely not be picking from the top choices, they will be picking from the bottom of the list sad to say. What is the over/under for the number of planes flying over Metlife for the Ravens game, 1.5? The Colts game 2.5? The media is going to be all over this. Mara needs to get Metlife put in the restricted air space for the last two games. When is the last time you saw a 16.5 underdog in the NFL? 25 more days.

I'd love to see Vrabel hired, or Brian Flores. Daboll and Schoen both need to go. Schoen has been awful in his drafting record, and he is the man to blame for letting go of Love last season, and McKinney and Barkley this year. He's a brutally bad GM, and I don't understand why he's still here. Brandon Brown was tutored by Howie Roseman before he was hired by the Giants. Brandon Brown was against letting Barkley and McKinney to depart.

Personally if you look at all of the holes the Giants have, I would be comfortable if they could trade down and get an extra one next year and focus on D Tackle and O line help. A corner would be nice as well. I would sign Sam Darnold in this scenario. The Giants have a real lack of talent

I’m of the clean house mindset and hire someone that can assist/help Mara find the next GM. Repeatedly poor choices have crippled this team.

Let’s be honest, we can’t expect this defense to play at an elite level when the past three seasons we’ve been building this defense for wink (personel wise) and you think the New DC is suppose to turn this defense top 10 when we only have one legit superstar on defense and a bunch of guys lol

We are going to learn that Daboll is a horrid coach. He should be seeing if Ezeudu or Neal can play guard. If Jake Kubas is a legit prospect. If Turbo Miller can add zest to the offense; if Hyatt can play, etc. And he won’t do any of that, proving he is a useless waste of money.

If they draft Sanders ,Shurmer should come with him.

Team who picks up Jones pays the league minimum for 7 games and gets a comp pick when Jones gets signed in FA next year. Sounds like a good deal no matter what Jones does. I want to see Jones go to the 49ers or Vikings. Also maybe the Broncos where Sean Payton uses him as a Taysom Hill 2.0 to supplement Bo Nix.
