How the Babylonian creation myth became Genesis - The link strengthens

I think what I’m currently finding most helpful about this framework is the character archetypes and “things” motifs; the woman correlates to the inner subconscious, the man correlates to the physical outer world, the flooding/water motif, etc. I recognize them everywhere now. I think it would be helpful if I had some sort of key to establish the more-than-common archetypes and motifs. Care to share what you have found? It may be a helpful fundamental for these presentations?

Wow, so many queries, I've begun I suppose a while back deconstructing my belief system, rasied Christian here, and cling tenaciously, not on purpose but for lack of truth or lack of other explanation as to where we come from and so forth. Anyways, dang I wish I could ask about so much. Let me make an assumption or 10 and I think rightly so. As you have done your reading, and mine, and many others. So; To introduce my thinking and I beleive likely many others 1. If it is true when we say "As above so below". therefore your metaphore possibly fits both? - the potential physical evidence we keep finding on earth today and as well this metaphoric teaching? (ppl want to be near God(s), if said God(s) were annunaki wanting gold they'd be from off planet - there'd be space ports ... let's built a space port OR - hence let's build Bable and go to the stars to be with these gods. These 2 concepts possibly match up, your message here of metaphore and the possibliilty early peoples were acting as one people ... especially if it was shortly after the space people created humans like us , then of course we woudln't have had time to develope our personal/societal idiosyncrasies which lead to our differnces and then lead to wars and conflict 2. a random thought supporting my reasoning might be thigns like the so called missing link , Lucy's (Lucy the body of an ancient half monkey half person) failure to sew together vast evolutionary changes supports this doesn't it? monkeys and suddenly mankind, no fossil records joining that - so was dna fiddled with by Annunaki to make us? 3. there seesm to be massive things pertrified in the earth plus signs of a global flood. Do you 100% say no to this stuff? giants and flood ... even though there seems to be both, not challenging here for challenge sake, nor being rude, i am just really truly curious and i want facts. 4. couldnt the metaphore and reality here both be true? becausue now if i were to follow your metaphore 100% then i am again lost as to where humans come from. I sure wish I couldve had asked questions while you were making this video. Can you recommmend some reading for me with these questions in mind. peace!

I agree that indirect language is an indication that either the person is up to something or they are muddled up themselves. In my opinion there are no good arguments for God outside of personal experience. God is an idea that must be accepted by faith. Arguing you have a proof for God only drives genuine seekers away because all external or logical arguments for God are ultimately illogical or the conclusion does not follow. That puts God himself at odds with the idea of truth and reason, which God should be in alignment with. If someone is to believe in God they have to take that up by faith. Any other way is dishonest and already at odds with the highest ideal. In my opinion apologetics is therefore against God and a form of evil.

32:00 Thank you. I may have been on that other planet. That is where the Pharisees lived -unaware of who Jesus was and that he came to heal the sick. He came to heal the broken people. I think those aliens simply believe that everything would have been better if such and such happenned or if someone said such and such. No, I think we live in a fallen world where we experience hell (some more than others), but if we do let go and forgive, we too can share in Christ's light. Jesus conquered hell and death. Those aliens on that other planet forget that the Truth is a person, Jesus Christ. It is in that caring and love of another (especially in need) where we participate in Christ's life. Love is such a divine spirit which we can let in and let out, but only when we are humble to realize that we are not the source of understanding or love. It is God who brings forth all life and love radiates from his eternal (uncreated) light. Amen, brother. I will try to return from that other planet and be more as Christ wills it to be.

Sometimes just hearing someone else’s story is comforting to know there are other people who suffer too, but survive, grow and overcome, and maybe even really find their way into a real relationship with their creator, and finally make peace with knowing that he does love us, and he works mysteriously in our lives even if it doesn’t feel like it in the midst of the storm. His ways are higher than our ways. He knows the end from the beginning. dear Daniel, your story brought me to tears. you are a very good narrator by the way. no, its obvious you dont need an advice, you come up very clear minded, strong and at peace. i watched your video bc i wanted to find out how you found back to God. i am not christian but i am opened to every form of religious or non religious ppl. all religions are different languages to feel near to God. God sent me a neardeath experience when i was 17 without harming me physically or psychologically and He showed me in that neardeath experience the deeper meaning of suffering. several times He spoke to me in dreams with wonderful, loving answers. and yet the last year i got very angry seeing the tremendous ongoing suffering in gaza, the syrian prisoners got thru and some ppl around me. i am Gods bad student. God tried to show me so much and yet i am angry again. i know its alright for Him, He loves and accepts me anyway, but i want my innocent connection to Him back. i ask Him everyday: the most ppl in the world want to stop netanyahu and yet its like our voices dont count anything as a majority. i am not capable to watch the scenes from gaza and westbank anymore, i have nightmares of their stories and of the syrian freed prisoners. i am crying a lot.

@@mideastgirl8926 I love you, sister. I did not return to the God of Abraham but have found a way to make the Bible play out in my mind. It has lessons that teach me to forgive at a deep level to have a wonderful life. I found a pattern that belongs to all of humanity. At least I like to think so. I believe the pathway the ancients were trying to tell us about are hidden in plain sight but requires special and very fixed interpretation to gain access to. They tell us it is the way to God for the few who find it. Let’s look. I cannot even watch news anymore. It ruins my whole day when I see it. We don’t like to turn away because we care. But if we don’t turn away, it will consume our minds. We need our minds clear. I’m going to reply to this wonderful comment in a video. I will comment with a link when it’s posted. Turn your face from the world we cannot heal while we are hurt. We must learn to find our inner peace in order to help ease the world situation.

@@DerKirchenhocker That isn’t a double negative. If it was it would sound thusly, I do not, not see God, therefore he does not, not exist. Which makes no sense. That example is like “I don’t like milk so I won’t drink any.” That isn’t a double negative. The atheist in your example is being clear and not trying to hide their opinion. You know what she’s saying. The theist in this video is purposefully trying to hide what he is saying in a true double negative that can be fixed. Besides, no atheists come here. The only issue I have with her content is that she was raised with the Book of Mormon, not the Bible. She does not see the patterns that are in the Bible since Mormons don't study it very much. Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon and was obviously an out of touch with the template liar who never saw the patterns and didn't put them in your Book. Mormons, sorry, you got screwed bad. Smith just liked that polygamy idea and Abrahamic traditions are already ripe for that.

I do understand how difficult of a question this is since everyone is coming from different situations. All so similar, yet so different. I guess I could say I'm at the point of digging through all those suppressed emotions, finding their origins. I guess if I'm being honest I was probably hoping there was a fast track. Although I do understand it's a process that goes on as long as we choose to continue growing. Okay, I'm 18 minutes in and I'm really enjoying this, but what you are doing is actually exactly religion, certainly in the purest form which is looking after people's needs but also if you look up the etymology of that word. The word Religion has its roots in the idea of binding again or perhaps reading again but either way you're looking back and and recommitting. When you say it goes back to the Babylonians it goes back to every society everyone is trying to tune into the truth, Abraham was from Mesopotamia, his Customs were Mesopotamian look at the Covenant he made with God, all that walking between the pieces of Flesh what's that about? This is all voice to text because I'm outside trying to fix my CV axle and listening to your video when you talk about parents and stuff man that breaks my heart, my wife and I raised a daughter and seven sons, I love them all, as a father I know I have to walk this line between being the absolute Authority because they must obey me and also I do not want to provoke them to wrath and rebellion. I wish I had more time to refine my comment and say something more but I got to go back to work and I want to listen to the rest of the video.
