Saint George Episcopal Church
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 21 พ.ค. 2009
Saint George is located on historic Fort George Island, FL. It is a sanctuary where peacocks roam the grounds & guests are always welcome. We have a very close-knit church family and a lovely carpenter gothic church built in 1882.

Every time I witness this dear memorial service for David I hear something different , I grasp a new and fresh understanding of what is being said at this time in my journey. It's always fun and revealing to watch it again as time has passed. I look forward to watching It again in the future and hearing what new lessons will be revealed. Thanks again to all who have been walking with me on this journey. I appreciate you and love you all. This time I thank you Ed, For making this video possible and so available For me to learn and continue on my journey.
I am so grateful
Congratulations to you both!🎉

I really enjoyed the service and lesson. It was great to see you, Fr. Jon! (I'm in Flagler Beach--moved from Jacksonville a few years ago, but still a "member".) Jim Z

I really wanted to hear this sermon but somehow the transmission was garbled. So disappointed because I was a soap opera fan for many years!
Good Sermon, Ray.
Thank-you Father Ray. Inspiring.🙏
Thank you. Ray, and a very on target sermon. Christopher+Sandy
Frankly, I am disgusted that a church congregation would do something like this to its benefactress. Mrs. Ward is my great-great-grandmother and her daughter sitting there, Virginia, my great-grandmother, so I do have an axe to grind here. Laying aside the appalling portrayal of her as a rich snot born with a silver spoon in her mouth (unlikely as she was born the daughter of two employees of a wealthy Dutchman in NYC), the short presentation and the one following it showing my great-grandmother is filled with inaccuracies. She was not a descendent of a partner of the Astors. She married the son of a junior Astor partner. As that son died as a 2d Lt in the 2d (NY) Cavalry in Virginia in 1863, it is unlikely that she would use a joke to refer to the Civil War (see following TH-cam). Her wealth came neither from her first husband nor "the Congressman", as she dismissively refers to Mr. (Or General) Ward in the Virginia Stuart TH-cam to follow. As she speaks of 1883 as being in the past, her daughter Virginia was already married and a mother. I hope anybody thinking about donating any sum to St. George's thinks about in what manner they will be thanked in a Church TH-cam some 130 years down the road and leaves their checkbook at home.
Beautiful I minister to this song for my mother at her memorial service Meida Ollivierra
You go, girls!!!
You're looking fabulous, Janis! I'm so glad that you're progressing so well, even if it's not as fast as you might want. Wonderfully told story, all the love and prayers sent your way and to God's ear most certainly must have helped, as did the "miracles" that you recounted that happened before anyone knew what happened to you. You are dearly loved by many, for who you are and for all that you do for others and we hope we have you with us for a long, long time.
Hey Marty, Your words remind me of the book I just started, "Radical Hospitality." It's about Benedictine Hospitality, and echoes many of your thoughts. I can't wait to hear the rest on Sunday!
Way to go Marty! "We all need to put a welcome mat at the door of our hearts." That is the whole ball game. Thanks.
Thanks Father Marty
It's almost as good as being there in person! This gives me somethings to think about. See you next wek. Love, Hope
I'll second that! Father Marty is the coolest Interim priest ever. ;-)
