So this is my real first warts and all diagnostic on here. I started off learning electronics on YTS (Youth Training Scheme) in 1985 when I was 16, BUT, life took a turn and I was diverted away from the real fixing & I became an installation "if it's broken swap it out" repair engineer for Ollivetti/OLSY/Wang Global/Getronics or whomever was buying them out that week. So now I am trying to get ...

Works for E490 as well.
Thank you.
You got it! Nice.
Thank you. Can't wait to try it out properly.
OOOhhh... Microscope camera! Looking forward to those videos.
Was setting it up earlier, camera works fine in Amscope software and is in Device Manager as USB 2.0 Camera but not being found by OBS so will have to look into that next week.
Just tried this and it worked, thank you!
You are very welcome :)
Just a heads up... if you find Shift F10 or Fn Shift F10 is not launching CMD it may be that the laptop has shipped with 'S Mode' enabled or it's a later version of Windows 11 that has that bypass method disabled. I had one last week where I was forced to sign in with a Microsoft account, after which I disabled S Mode and created a local account for the customer. Then I deleted my Microsoft account from the laptop.
Strange you say that, I was thinking earlier today maybe I should of said that.
I used to really like Synology. Their stuff is well put together and works well. I kind of fell out with them after one of my clients got hit with the one of the ransomware attacks back in 2014. This was however, not on a VPN at the time and had port 5000 open to allow remote login which is now a big no no. The password was very strong and the default admin account disabled but they got in through another vulnerability.
I sound like a robot, sorry.. I really hate the sound of my own voice.
Don't be insecure about your voice man
you are a genius thank you!!
No...... Thank you. :D
Thanks for sharing. After taking the fans off and cleaning the dust that didn't get removed last time, did you try using something like MX4 thermal paste and testing? My advice on this would be NOT to use thermal pads on the CPU and GPU. Compared to a decent thermal paste, normal thermal pads are a worse conductor of large amounts of heat, (unless you're using something like Phase Change Material). The tolerances between the heatsink and chip dies are very small. By adding thermal pads you are also increasing the distance between the heatsink and other components that DO use thermal pads or thermal putty, i.e. inductors, mosfets, RAM chips etc so that they are not making proper contact (thermally) with the heatsink and could cause component failure. I'd also be looking at the area on the heatsink where you couldn't scrape the discolouration off. Is it pitted or scratched?
The paste used in video 1 was the MX4 8g tube.
Did you get to the bottom of this one?
Yeah but the video got corrupted. It ended up as a dead proc
Nice! Looking forward to seeing more.
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome!
Amazing video Keep it up
Thank you for the encouragement, you have just made my day. :D
Wow! That heatsink and fan assembly is enormous! My advice for liquid metal is stay the heck away from it unless the device was supplied with it, in which case it would have the necessary containment foam surrounding the chip to keep it from accidentally getting where it shouldn't. I'd also highly recommend getting an 'air duster' to replace the canned air. I use an 'Xpert Compu Cleaner' air duster which has been brilliant. I'd also recommend removing the laptop fans to get to the dust on the heatsink fins. Blowing dust back into the fans can create 'dust bunnies' that can trap the fan blades and stop them from spinning if they get in the way.
Haven't come across liquid metal build as yet and would be dubious about using it. As you saw the grease was bone dry. Unfortunately the fresh paste never fixed it so watch out for part 2 lol
@@enscomputers I'd definitely take off those fans from the heatsink. There's no telling what blockages might be in there. Usually I shine a flashlight into the middle of the fan and see if I can see the light clearly through the heatsink fins on the opposite side.
Thank you so much for this - simple when you know. I have searched the Epson help sites and the web and could not find the maintenance tabs. This has rescued me from an afternoon trying to access epson call centre.
That's all very well, but my problem is that I've done all this and the power clean multiple times, and it's still not printing black at all. It seems I need to manually clean the print head and was looking for a demo for that. Epson doesn't show this anywhere.
OK I will see what I can do this week.
@@enscomputers Thanks, but after doing the auto clean for the millionth time, it suddenly worked (after about 3 days of trying). Hadn't done anything different; seems it's completely random.
Hello sir, i have the same laptop model as yours. Can you reply what's the details of the ram you used in this video. Thanks in advance
It takes DDR4 2400 & 2666
Thanks for sharing! It worked, Great job
Great to hear! Thank you :D
Hi how much ram can you add to this computer and how much ssd does this device support and will adding more make it faster and what model ram do i need for this device
Sorry for late reply. It has 4GB onboard and will take a 16GB taking it up to 20GB, as for hard drive it will take a 2TB.

We have picture! I can't believe! 😄 Nice one! It's a great feeling when you bring something back to life, isn't it? Not a criticism but two observations I had: 1. The audio is kind of low and 2. BE CAREFUL with those metal tools laying close to the motherboard. It can be disastrous. Ask me how I know lol.
LOL... Thanks for the tip, keep meaning to dig out my plastic tools but get side tracked.
No you really saved my life , i was 3 weeks searching for a solution , thank you so much king u are a great ❤❤
Really glad I could help. :D
Turn off memory integrity and then do your update. I just saved you 13min of life. No thanks. Also worked on T495s.
Great!!
Thanks a lot my friend ❤❤
Thanks 👍
Hi can you please tell me what type of connector of the batterie it is
Sorry I have no idea. I made this video nearly 2 years ago.
Thank you so much for the video, was looking for two days on their official website regarding power cleaning, could not find the Maintenance tab at all for my Epson 2810. Nowhere did it mention there is a driver that I could use to perform power cleaning. It was not helpful at all. Thanks again!
Glad I could help :)
Anyone who believes that alert is a target. There's one born every minute. Nothing to do with Microsoft. Just your average idiot falling for a scam.
Good job I'm on a Mac, never ever get these alerts. Do not phone that number unless you want to play along with the scammers 🙂
But contrary to Apple, Macs can and do get viruses.
This popped up on my feed and I thought "Hey I follow him on Facebook!". Nice to see a fellow tech making videos. I've recently started adding stuff to my channel but I'm only just getting used to hearing my own voice so it's slow going at the moment lol.
LOL... I hate the sound of my own voice on camera. Thanks for the sub.
Gosh Capt Obvious tell us more.
Ah, the famous Capt Obvious strikes again!
@tomstruble7380 Tit.
The sad and scary fact of the matter, it there are people who would/will fall for such scams. Let's hope this video is spread far and wide and save some poor soul from falling for it.
Totally agree. I get maybe 2 or 3 a month where the person has phoned the number and best thing is a factory reset.
Gotta love em! They try hard

I just did the same thing to my printer, but I cannot get the software to reboot. I tried so many different things I feel like I’m losing my mind.
Hi, What software do you mean? To reset the counter after changing the waste ink tank you need the Software from Epson only supplied to Epson Express centres.
Grazie, Ho Bisogno di sapere come fare per capire qual è il tipo o la sigla della testina di ricambio per la ET 2810.

Is there only one slot for ram?
As far as I can remember on this model, you have 4GB soldered to board an 1 additional slot.
@@enscomputers Thanks, mate!
I can't see the last video. Can i have the instructions in "no bootable device"
IF you put a new SSD in the computer you will need to install an OS like Windows onto the drive. I imaged the old drive onto the new one.

Acer a315-51 have a built-in ram? I can't see where is the other slot of my 4gb ram.
You should have a trapdoor on the underside where the RAM goes.
Useful, thanks. But really improvable video editing. Well, I guess there wasn't even any ^^
Oh well
Thank you so much my friend!
You are welcome! glad it helped.
GOOD ON YOU ! THANKS SO MUCH
Thank you too!
Haven't got the icon on mine to open that cleaning menu?
Have you installed the Epson software? select product setup, skip ink setup and network setup, I think there is a 'already connected' option there. www.epson.co.uk/en_GB/support/sc/epson-ecotank-et-2810/s/s2052?suggestionClicked=true
I ran across this in an attempt to address the same problem. It's a great solution for a Lenovo Yoga 9i with the exact error. It seems Lenovo is asleep at the helm regarding its customers. Great job!
Thank you, please it helped
Thanks, this was helpful. Although my printer needed a few cleanings for the test sheet to look alright. Do you have tips to improve the quality of the scan. With my et-2810 the scan comes out really blurry.
It could be the scanner itself! Silly question, have you tried cleaning the glass?
@@enscomputers Yes, I cleaned it with the same stuff I use on my smartphone.
@@maja-kehn9130 then I would say it is the scanner itself
@@enscomputers okay, thank you.
Thanks, clear vid/sound. Recommendations on where best to get fan/grease/degreaser, and where best to start levering case apart?
Hi David, I would look on eBay for the fan using the HP part number, as for the thermal paste I can supply that but it's not on my website at present and the TIM clean I can't get that a present but I have www.enscomputers.co.uk/product/akasa-pack-of-10-thermal-interface-material-tim-cleaning-wipes/ Regards Eddie
Hi! After the update is successful, do we turn back on the memory integrity feature
Hi, Sorry, I should of said to turn it back on, my apologies.
Thank you very much!!! 😁
No problem 😊
Thank you for this video! Niche and perfect, helped save years of photos after the pc died
