    Ouch! Yup, easy to pull a lot of brake when wrapped and extra sensitive to it at wfo climb angle. Hate this happened to you, and so damn quickly too. A friendly reminder for me to quit being so damn lazy and changing trims w/o stowing brakes. Thank you for sharing, I am quite amazed at how quickly that went wrong for you. I dont carry phones, so shit like this would result in a VERY long and painful crawl. Your first word after the crash was on point. Ima truck bed to hospital kinda guy. That $500+ ride in a white painted box truck with lights, is a little pricey for my dumb ass.

      Paramotoring is as safe as the pilot makes it. The equipment (knowing of course that the engine on your back WILL fail at some point) is very safe. It is always the pilot's decisions that contribute to problems...

    My gut feeling is that this was partly riser twist caused when you took your weight off the seat for a split second when getting into the seat. Glad you are still flying. Was it this accident which made you switch to a trike?

    • @FLYHIGHPPG
      @FLYHIGHPPG 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it gave reason to get wheels I fly both. The intentional (not an accident lol) Was because I was seated but didn't feel all the way back so tried to slide in more .... I intentionally kept brake in hand while doing it....I pulled over a foot of brake on an advanced glider....it responded to my input... Not an accident lol just doing what it was told lol. Flat spin with collapse on 1 side showed me gliders don't parachute lol...

      @@FLYHIGHPPG lol I hope I don't have to find that out for myself but given a long enough timeframe i probably will. I must admit im often tempted to keep holding onto the brakes while pulling down the trims. Ive got some buddies on trikes and quads, they look great.

      Yes definitely, even to walk in the sand it would hurt, but I found sand that was recently dried from the tide level which was packed good which made it easier...until I ran into a deep area which made me about take a knee. Luckily at that moment I was getting good lift and it took me up instead of face planting me. The other 4 flights I had no worries. I figured launch would be easy cause I could baby step fast (can't run yet lol) the landing worried me but the great beach air let me just drop in nice and easy....such a fun day.

    Glad nothing worse happened. I just had my own brush with tragedy. Made a very poor decision to launch in an area that was too obstructed. Ended up crashing straight into a massive South Texas cactus patch. No broken bones, just a $500 repair bill, and about 10,000 thorns my wife got to spend the rest of the night plucking out of me. What’s worse is my GoPro didn’t record any of it. At least you have a shot at tuckers crash video special. I hope you’re healing up well, be safe.

    Fist of all, I am sorry for this and glad that you are ok. Second, Thanks for posting. I am about to start flying. If you don't mind me asking what went wrong here? Line were tangled or applied too muck left brake? ( you have your brakes and tips together so it will be mores sensitive) The wing was already turning left when you jumped in the seat, so that is why I think that it had to do with the lines, and not you jumping, however by you jumping to the seat while turning I think made it worse since the line trust changed from one angle to another very quickly affecting the fly path and lift. Again, I am really sorry for your crash but at least hou made it out. Thanks.
