Hello vector's today how to create a totem of 3.50m (manufacturer Prolyte). First of all we are going to take the heavy base and position it on the ground. We are going to place the different elements (an element of 3 meter, 50 cm + the base at the head). Once you have created this totem it is wise to be able to keep it as a symbol and put it in your personal library. so that you can find it each time. The advantage is that you will always have it on hand to import it into a new project and you will not have to recreate this totem.

great news with the 2024 version of Vectorworks Spotlight. If you want to change the location of these bridel legs. It's much easier with the Vectorworks Spotlight 2023 version. Double click on your bridle and change one or both or yours leg. After, click on your hoist and trust and it will automatically apply the change to your bridle. Here is my answer: it is true that things have changed since then for the hanging hoists on your truss (permanent mode en support d accroche or hanging hoists) insert your truss and differently things but not hoists... hoist on your truss in your edition mode in the second time...so that the hoists remain well hung... Hello, thanks for your info. I want to put my bridble on the ipn and not load from the ipn, but from a truss. what can happen ?
Menu Spotlight/rigging/slings preferences/clic on general /use framing element as existing fixing point
After that you did not to used an existing fixing point , just your IPN !!! check your heigth in your option mode too. Good luck and good job
Realy good feature. Can you explain the best way to make documentation/paperwork for Tottems (vertical) and raked trusses like this? I feel that Vectorworks just is prepared for horizontal trusses... Thank you for all your dedication and videos that you share with us

I'm trying to use braceworks to calculate hoist weights for an raked truss and I can't. There is always an error saying that the truss are not connected to the motors. Could you help with this question please?

Merci Laurent, le logiciel permet de bien comprendre la repartition des forces en (kn) sur les chaines treuils lors d'une charge bien répartie tout le long de la truss
Bonjour Loic je fais du rigg et je pratique doucement vectorworks pour redessiner certains de mes chantiers . je n'arrive pas à mettre en place les moteurs sur les truss . Peut tu me donner un petit coup de pouce ?
salut theo. il te suffit de selectionner un pont et un treuil et de les faire se rencontrer avec ta souri... maisil te faut aussi mettre dans ton menu des calques : l'options "afficher attirer editer" afin de voir l'accroche sous la forme d'un losange rouge avec une croix rouge interieure "signal rouge qui te permet de visualiser cette attache" ensuite tu relache la souris ou le pad et normalement ils sont liés... pour voir s'il sont bien liés ensemble. Pour cela direction info objet du truss tout en bas tu selectionne objets lies au system et normalement tu dois voir ton truss et ton moteur en rouge ce qui veut dire que ceux ci sont bien lies... Voilà bonne continuation a toi

De rien ronald ! 😉 Pour info la charge est bien répartie tout le long du pont(10 mètres) écran LED / structures / cables électriques. Excepté les moteurs qui eux sont en charge concentrée.
You're welcome, ronald! 😉 For info the load is well distributed all along the truss (10 meters) LED screen / structures / electric cables. Except the motors which are in concentrated load.
Sur des grosses structures avec des charges importantes, préférez toujours des moteurs mouflés afin d’avoir le moins de dynamique possible lors des mouvements de ponts.
