It did hit the 5pts to the tick, I was in that trade and luckily got filled, but there are times when that happens where you may not get filled. When that happens to me, I move my stop to break even so I don't lose money because I didn't get filled when I should have.

Also something to add was that there was news that dropped at 9:00 cst so those couple candles were most likely a reaction to that. I stay away from red news events but other events like this one, I do trade but am quick to move to break even because price could just be from a quick reaction and then turn on you.

I would recommend to skip trades with an entry too far away from the wave. In addition the move you were talking about came right after 10am news. So be careful there and wait for smaller risk signals. There are still plenty every day.

Same here for me. I had a 3 tick slippage on the entry which is exactly what was short for the win. But every trade afterwards won solidly so I shut down with 440 for the day. Yesterday. I went 640 in the hole on two trades only to make it all back. Yes, we will have an occasional one that does not profit, but the win/loss ratio is so strong, the losses are covered. My struggle is i watch price action at the same time and some entries make no sense. They end up winning anyway. So there is something the metric is seeing that to cause the entry. Learning to trust the system and not over think it.

Right mouse click on the price to the right of your screen and enable the section that says countdown.

Right click on the price scale and check the option that says Countdown to bar close

So the thing about risk is that everybody has a different risk tolerance. Yes there are times when the market gets volatile and a signal is printed with the entry price far away from the profit wave. That's where you as a trader have to decide if you are comfortable with that amount of risk. If you are not, then you can skip the trade all together, or if the price pulls back decide if you want to get in with a better entry price. If you choose the latter, make sure to backtest to understand how it works for you.

Guys, please keep comments. Respectful, I will start deleting comments. We are all here as a team to help each other learn and be successful. The amount of times these metrics will hit five Points on the one minute time frame frame out ways the losses. Also remember you can hold trades longer than 5 points and capitalize on bigger gains as well which will offset losses. This is just my personal strategy. Not financial advice

You have to keep your metrics in check. Pick trades with smaller SL's and skip those on extented and larges candles.

Skipping trades that you are not comfortable with is great risk management! Congrats on not letting the market tempt you!

@@bsudz Oh, hmmm... I must have missed that. I just remembered he trades with 2 contracts for 5 points. That's $200 per win. If there were 10 wins that's $2k. But I may have misunderstood what he was saying. But I'm with you, $10k would be nice 😁

I personally use Take Profit Trader for my prop firm accounts who use tradovate as the broker.

Depends on your take profit account size 50k equals 5 micros 150k equals 2 minis Risk management is everything

If you're using a 50k prop firm account then he recommends to trade with 5 micros on the MNQ. If you're using a 150k prop firm account then 2 minis on the NQ is the preferred starting size.

Why do you keep posting this? YOU are free to trade with 10 point profit targets or however else you so choose to do so. Justin doesn't have to show anything if he doesn't want to, and we're lucky to get his content and education as often has he does produce it. If you have the system, then go backtest it and find a profit target that you're happy with and trade it, nobody is stopping you.

I don't understand why you get so mad about this. Every scalping system has a backwards RR which is why they depend on such a high win rate to be successful over time. You said it yourself when you said all Algos are like that. If you want to trade with bigger profit targets than your stops, then do so! The beauty of trading is that you can trade whatever way you feel best about! You just need to understand that the higher profit target you take the lower your win percentage will be, that's just a nature of trading. Some people are ok with that and like the big winners, others prefer winning much more often, but the point is it is totally up to you!! Justin has found a system that works for him, his psyche, and his lifestyle, and he is sharing it with anyone who is interested. If it's not for you then that's ok, but don't get mad about it. If you don't think think it is a profitable system after seeing the wins day in and day out with this system, and you don't think this will be profitable in the long run, then that's your prerogative. Come back in a year and see how he's doing and if he's still profitable with this system.

I think you’re reading into this way too much. Who says I’m angry? I’m just pointing out that this is not a profitable system for me or anyone. And yes you’re right, time will tell. Lots of members posting their profits tell otherwise. I understand if the system is not for you and that's ok, but there are plenty of people having success with it. I wish you good luck in your trading adventure and hope you find what you are looking for.

@LazyDisciplined LOL! Well, at least you're honest about it, and true to your user name 😉 My advice would be to take the time. There really aren't shortcuts in trading. Not in the long run. I've been trading for many many years and even l found that by putting in the time and watching more of his videos you pick up a lot more than just "the rules". Trust me, it's worth the effort. Also he includes a few additional videos when you purchase that aid in the setup and use. Warm regards.

The indicator does not repaint. Yes the signals will flash on and off as the candle is forming depending on how volatile that candle is, but a signal is not confirmed until the candle has closed. Once the candle closes with the signal showing, it is there forever. The rules of the system say that you must wait for the candle to close to confirm the signal before entering into the market.

@@bsudz yes I understand all that. When I say repaint what I mean is the buy or sell signal will show but then disappear and possibly show again in the same candle that's repainting. Or whatever you want to call it. I'm still learning how this indicator works so just stating what I'm seeing real time

@@doc_holliday9280 Ok, yes that is expected because a candle that is showing a signal while it is still forming could theoretically turn around and dump in the opposite direction which would invalidate the signal. So until the candle closes, the signal could be there or it could disappear. For educational purposes, that is not what repainting means. Repainting is where you see all the signals in real time throughout the day but then if you were to load up the chart tomorrow, those signals that were there, are now all different.

Yes, that is correct. During the time frame selected it may flicker on and off but it has to have specific parameters met at candle close to turn on and it will never repaint. This is why I enter trades the second after the candle closes and I see it illuminated

@kendylsmith8618 I've learned to not trade until 15 mins after NY opens and that if u get down, stick to the plan. You should be able to come back.

I take them in partials and if they are really extended i wait for an entry a little closer to the profit wave, it has worked phenomenal for me this way and allows me to give the market some space by entering the position with less than my full position to start and if it hits without getting another add or before I take an entry I wait for the next signal or use my own discernment to decide to enter if it hits then pulls back closer to profit wave.

If the drawdown is an issue for your account, I would just look at trading with less contracts to start or go to micros and then doubling up once in profit and it's heading your direction. Then move your stop loss to break even.

My Max drawdown on this specific trade was exactly 5.5 points. Had to go back right now and mock it up to get the exact number.

It is just ok. This is a scalping system so it is best on the 1-2 min chart.

You can absolutely use it on the 5-minute timeframe. Just need to adjust position sizing and take profitable. These are incredible for scalping 1 and 2 minute

Are you referring to the signal at the exact 9:30 opening bell? The next few candles were crazy which is why Justin says to wait 30-60 mins before trading..It's typically to volatile at the open.

So did I and then proceeded tow win all but 1 the rest of the day simply by taking 5points profit per trade. Ended up with $900 profit for the day.
