Arranged by John Cocchi for Chiappa Ltd.
Thanks Peter.

Thanks Peter.
Arrangers - 1. James Tiller. 2. Louis Blache. Both for Chiappa Ltd.
Thanks Peter.
Arrangers - 1,2 Louis Blache. 3. John Cocchi. both for Chiappa Ltd.
we r so lucky to have wonderfull fair organ s like this one ,
Arrangement by Arthur Prinsen, these books are no longer with the organ.
The song is Der Lustige Bruder March. th-cam.com/video/5RpDe5Fa7tE/w-d-xo.html
Is this the one which is now in the Scarborough Fair Collection?
Yes.
"Versailles" marche ou "Homeguard march"
Non, c'est "Lustige Brüder", composé par Pörschmann
@@bietebouwer C'est juste ! Impardonnable, d'autant plus que cette marche et Versailles marche font partie de mes morceaux préférés sur l'Hooghuys 52 touches !
Awesome organ!!!
Fantastic Sounding Organ I HaveHeard It Many Times Here In The US❤
just lovly
The first song is actually a Verbeeck arrangement, apparently they had a few different arrangers after Jan went back to Belgium as this is not his work. Tune 2 is "Firebird" Tune 3 is "In a Street in Old Seville" Arranged by Louis Blache for Chiappa Ltd.
Thanks Peter.
Arranged by Louis Blache for Chiappa Ltd.
I know it is, it is MERRY-GO-ROUND MUSIC supplied I got the tune it's on playlist 173 of the CPC from A&R
I'll send you some of the list it is on the MERRY-GO-ROUND MUSIC PLAYLIST 22
Interestingly this organ has a Mortier serial number, one of the few that were built in the Mortier factory for Gavioli, two others are known to exist, the saucer bells were added by Chiappa in the 1930's.
Thanks Peter, the ex Dan Shorey organ is also a Mortier built gavioli as well, they sound a little different to the Paris built instruments.
"Old Timers No.1" - Tom Meijer.
Thanks Peter.
TEDDYBEARS PICNIC HAVEN'T HEARD THAT TUNE SINCE SANG THAT SONG TO US IN THE 1950S LONDON THANKYOU FOR THE MEMORY👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ruth factory arrangement, the organ is now with Herman Riddering in Garmewold, The Netherlands.
Thanks Peter.
first song: That naughty waltz
Such a delightfully wonderful video. Excellent video that is very well shared 😉. All the best and do take care 😊. From your new friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK 😊😉😉😊.
Thanks foxy.
Arrangers - 1. Louis Blache for Chiappa Ltd. 2. John Cocchi for J.Verbeeck, he worked there until they closed in 1948 and moved to Chiappa. 3. Marenghi/Gaudin.
Thanks Peter.
Much preferred the organ in the 1980 restoration. Bought the first pressing at a steam rally in south London, Merton Park I believe. Mexican Whistler was my favourite track. The organ sounded then very different until those trumpets were added which personally I don't think suit the organ. I now see they have been placed at the rear and the percussion restored to the original format but the overall sound of the organ is still very different which I think is a pity !!
The saxophones in the front lower case are a bit like marmite,it plays much fuller in G4 scale than VB.I've operated it since the late 80s on and off and to me it really only needed the trumpets putting at the back where they are now and getting them to play like they do now.Its always been a fine organ in all its guises and I've enjoyed every minute operating it for the Reeder Bros and now The Gavioli Organ Trust.
@@RaggyAl1971 Fair point !!
All arrangements by Arthur Prinsen.
Thanks Peter .
When the organ had those awful plastic trumpets fitted!, thank goodness they were removed, the organ is now owned by Alan Baldry, the arrangement is by Louis Blache for Chiappa Ltd.
Thanks Peter

Spent many an enjoyable hour listening to this magnificent Gavioli at the GDSF.
Not the Verbeeck book recorded by DECCA, posibly Chiappa
Arranged by Jan Verbeeck.
Doesn't sound the same arrangement thats on the Gavioli Showtime LP.?
@@RaggyAl1971It is a Jan Verbeeck arrangement. Thing is with this tune 'Theres something about a Soldier', Blache of Chiappa Ltd did their own version/arrangement of it as well.
@@fairgroundorganman9188 I take it that the Chiappa version is the one on the Gavioli Showtime LP then?
@@RaggyAl1971 Most likely, yes.
@@fairgroundorganman9188 Thanks mate.
It's nice to finally hear what this organ sounds like, i saw it at Eddy Nickson's premises prior to restoration two years ago, sadly most of the music has gone now.
According to the info I have the organ was put in to storage around 2006 and was in quite a poor state.
Thanks for sharing this - the first recording I've heard of this organ up until now!
It was a new one on me,I'd never heard it until last night on the tape, fortunately the guy who recorded it came forward and confirmed which organ it was.Quite a rare recording I think and the only audio I have of it.
@@RaggyAl1971 I've had a look at the instrument pre-restoration and it was in a very rough way, many parts corroded thanks to the sea air in Yarmouth! Allan Guest is restoring, I'd love to hear it/film it after it has been restored.
@@MechanicalMusicTravels Yes,me too Lucas.
I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA NOW I WAS BORN IN ENGLAND AND WE USED TO GO TO GREAT YARMOUTH FOR HOLIDAYS WE STAYED AT A CARAVAN PARK NICE PLACE THAT WAS AT THE END OF THE 1960s CAN'T REMEMBER THE OF IT IT HAD A AMERICAN SOUNDING NAME LONG TIME AGO⛱️🏖️🍭🍬🎶🎵🎼THE GOOD OLD DAYS 👍👍👍👍
Possibly either California Sands or California Cliffs holiday parks, just north of Gt Yarmouth.
@@SteffanPWhite THANKYOU STEFFAN IT WAS CALIFORNIAN SANDS DON'T KNOW IF IT IS STILL THERE OR NOT?? THE LAST CARAVAN WE WERE IN IT WAS VERY OLD IT HAD THOSE OLD FASHIONED GAS MANTEL LIGHTS VERY QUAINT☺️
@@constancewhiting9946 Yes there is still a California Sands holiday park, but with chalets now instead of caravans. I remember those gas mantle lights too as my parents owned a static caravan during the 1970s/1980s on site near Cromer.
All arrangements by John Cocchi for Chiappa Ltd complete with pattern mistakes!
BRINGS BACK GOOD MEMORIES LOVED GOING TO THE FAIR IN ENGLAND EVERY SUMMER THE MERRY GO ROUNDS TOFFEE APPLES ALL OF IT I'M 77 YEARS OLD I WOULD LOVED TO DO THAT AGAIN UNFORTUNATELY I MIGRATED TO AUSTRALIA MISS ALL THE FUN AT SOUTHEND ON SEA MARGATE AND CHELMSFORD ESSEX AND ALL THE OTHER ESSEX SEASIDE PLACES 😢😢MISS THOSE DAYS THANKYOU FOR BRINGING BACK THOSE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for listening.
The third tune is mistitled on the book, it's actually "La Spagnola", arrangements by Tom Meijer, The Magnificent Seven theme was the late Jim Searle's fvourite book.
Thanks Peter.
Organ built by Rein van den Broek using an extended 89 key G4 scale, it has jazz flutes and vibratones but they never play!, all the music is by Carl Frei and Marcel van Boxtel.
Thanks Peter.
Apart from Zambesi which is an Albert Decap arrangement i think all the others are Arthur Prinsen.
Great to hear this great organ once again
Its not a recent recording by any means, there's nothing on the cassette that says when or where it was recorded unfortunately.
Also with "Zambezi" between the last 2 tunes.
The organ is now owned by Fabian Krul in Leiden who has fitted a different front and added separate cymbal and wood block, this front is now on the organ "Het Hoefie" The second tune is "Ich Bau Dir Ein Schloss" (I Build You A Castle)
The photo already shows the current front of De Dubbeldik, which was placed after the previous front was put on 'Het Hoeffie'.
Arranged by Carl Frei.
Thanks Peter
The picture in this vid shows the organ that was featured in Boogie Beebies on CBeebies.
Reminds me of Clarke's 84 key "Gavioli".
It's actually an orchestrion, the difference is a dance organ is built into several cases, usually three or five and an orchestrion is all built in one case as this one is.
Unless you’re in the United States of course. Here it’s an entirely different thing.
this is awesome
Thanks.
This is actually two tunes, the second is "My Isle of Golden Dreams" Arr. Louis Blache.
Thanks Peter.
The second book is "Les Saltimbanques" and a very unusual arrangement!
Thanks Peter.
It would be nice and helpful to have a video about how they work.
recording is 1984
Thanks Jory,slip of the fingers!
Arranged by Arthur Prinsen.
Thanks Peter.
