I'm watching your Retrospective series for a couple reasons. The first one is obvious, Fortnite OG is returning as a permanent gamemode, this time going season by season, so this serves as a solid framework to compare the new gamemode to. We can compare loadouts, map changes, events (if any), and the OG Passes. And the 2nd reason is that I've a Chapter 1 Season 2 OG who started playing 10 days after the Tilted Towers update. So I can get an in-depth grasp on Fortnite how it used to be before I installed the game, and give me a nostalgic refresher on what it was like. Btw, I have my Chapter 1 presets all built up at least 1 skin for every Season (including Item shop skins for the Seasons I didn't buy passes for: 1, 3, 5, and 6).

It should be noted that PvP was planned in some capacity since 2014. An unreleased gamemode, Weather the Storm existed around OT5.5 in early 2016 but was scrapped by OT7 though some remnants can be found in OT 6.5 Funny enough, when Fortnite was first concieved in 2011 and the first prototypes in 2012, a PvP mode was not only not planned, but said to never be a thing. The power of hindsight.

I remember this season very fondly, since it was when I got my first battle pass and actually started playing the game more. I honestly didn't care about a lot of these issues since I was just having fun, but looking back some stuff was pretty bad lol.

I don’t understand the C5S3 stuff bc I barely played it, I had been burned out of Fortnite for the entirety of C4 past MEGA and all of C5 - coming back to the game being absolutely confusing (as someone who no life-ed C1 and C2) and the chaotic changes I had no idea about. I just want another season that gives me the feeling of Christmas S2 because it was some of the best times in my life, genuinely.
