Deer Hunting - Opening Morning Sucess- Doe Down 🦌🔫 #Hunting #deerhunting #deer
🔥🚨links to products that appear in video listed below 🔥🚨
This is my hunting story from opening morning November 2024 in Upstate New York.
I took a doe down at 7:15 in the morning at about 45 yards out in front of me. I left her on the ground all morning with hopes that a buck would come through and I’d be able to harvest a second deer. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way, but I had a lot of activity with some young bucks that came through the remainder of the morning. Meat in the freezer and an overall active hunt.

Thanks for this but is there any other way to do this? Im only 13 so i cant go to a gym I’m currently at a draw wight of 70 lbs but i would like to get to about 80
@@Idk19693 with no gym, stick to a basic back strengthening movement . Pull ups or Chin Ups …. You can always put a back pack on with some of your school books to add some weight 😉👍🏼
What was his idea?
Idea = Turned on the battery ⚡️powered Heated 🔥vest and got warm … Now you can hunt longer without being cold 🥶

Thank you , Mrs Clover super pumped for the freezer refill . We were getting close to the bottom 👍🏼👍🏼
Congrats! Opening firearm at the MI ranch is generally reseved for buck hunting. That said, very few shots in earshot relatively speaking this year (on a Friday this year). DNR pretends to wonder why youth recruitment to hunting declines. Duh! Perhaps a Nov 15th opener would conflict with team, club, band practice or game most years! Teen peer pressure or benching keeps many away from bonding with a family tradition.
Yeah, Dave, I completely agree. You just don’t hear as many shots on opening day as you used to. Back in the peak years for hunting in New York-like the ’70s, ’80s, and early ’90s-most hunters only spent a couple of days in the field, maybe 2 to 3 days at most. Today, even though we have fewer hunters overall, they’re spending a lot more time out there. From what I understand, the latest estimates show that hunters now average around 10 to 15 days in the field. This makes sense with more gun hunters transitioning to crossbows, which adds even more hunting days. With all the extended seasons, youth hunts, and other opportunities, there isn’t as much of a rush to get out on opening day. People are spreading out their time in the field, and the pressure to get it done in just one weekend isn’t the same anymore. 😢
There have been years i hunted over 25 days over the whole season …. And I agree my Dad usually hunted just opening day (and that’s when it was a Monday opener) and then Thanks Giving weekend . Working around his work schedule . So he hunted like 4-5 days a season … but somehow always got it done 🤷🏻♂️
We have the Saturday opener here in NY and I say most def the shots are less over the years . I feel like the sport has grown , but mostly in the archery side and shrinks in rifle and late seaon….. With a DMP (doe permit) and a light freezer . I wanted meat . I have seen buck not bothered by the doe laying on the ground. Just gotta hope the initial shot don’t push them away 😬
@@figandcloverranch5871 Happy Thanksgiving! Hoping I don't end up with only 'Tag Soup' this year!

That is the prettiest coyote I’ve ever seen. It will make a nice mount.
when I saw him , had to film and share! 👨🏻👍🏼
This mock scrape works and is amazing. And the deer refreshes it with every pass through. I had a bear take a swipe at the stick for some unknown reason.

pooling water on top looks like an issue
It’s a “thing” for sure , but idk I have one of these on 50% of my stands and love them . I have one litterally up and hanging for 6 years straight . Never taken down. Even replaced the canvas last season on that one . So a little pooling , a little “bird bathy” but seriously I love them I stay dry and it blocks the up silhouette of you in the tree so well
Great job, Figgie That’s a beautiful coyote. I’ve had more coyote sightings on my property this year than ever before and definitely need to do something about it. Good luck with the rest of the season!
Thank you , did you get a deer yet this seaon. ❓❓My worst Bow season in years . Lookin fwd to getting that rifle in my hands . Need some meat in freezer for 2025 !!
Yes! I scored in New York on October 25-what a great hunt! I’ve been hunting in PA since then and almost scored yesterday. It’s been awesome!
I saw one by one time that was cream colored. Solid color, not dark hairs I could see and he just got away before I could get a shot. It was close. Only seen one like that once and only seen a solid black one once. I have some nice looking ones around me, but the color phase ones are the ones I’d like to get.

A lot of nocturnal activity observed on trail cams. Big, shredded pre rut rubs popping up.
