    0:40 was this made before the rapid step nerf? I cant get it this fast to save my life

      It is still possible, but there is a little trick to it: You see, whenever your opponent does a high move, you can actually duck (and therefore also crouchdash) much faster! Try setting your opponents move in sparring to a high move and see the change in speed in your duck animation yourself. So you can kinda like abuse this in order to get a super fast rapid step. One still needs to train a little in order to get super sonic speed lol.

      @@themscloud oh wow I didn't notice that at first but after testing for 15 minutes or so I can get it somewhat consistently in training! what a great punish tool once you get used to doing it from backturned and on each side!

      @@theyluvmono yeah, I've just tested this when I played DOA3 a few weeks ago and it even works there as well. It is an intended mechanic that has been in DOA games for a long time, but most players do not know about it. I myself didn't know about it as well for a long time. It's something that you can actually make great use of when you especially notice that your opponent does a lot of high moves that aren't perfectly placed.

      Yeah, that is where the mind games start. It's funny how you can pretty much always go for the roll 2 against players with Kuma match up knowledge cause they'll auto duck eeeeeverytime, haha.

    I was in training mode brads wake up kick game is absurd lol with his flip he can jump I wake up kick is very little effort kinda broken

      This is kinda like how it's supposed to be, though. :D Well, maybe not THAT strong, but it has always been intended that he can either jump over low wake up kicks while being in his lying stance (the new moves have been designt for that pupose). Ooooor that he can evade some mids with his lying stance OH. But yeah, in DOA6++, all of his evasion stuff from lying stance is waaaay too good now lol. But hey, we'd be lying when we say that this isn't a great fun, right? XD

    I just found out and installed it but aside from down down/up up p didn't see any new moves he has at least they changed his hitboxes and made his side step while lying down faster too bad he lost the fatal stun launch glad to see u on 6 again though I'll be testing the patch out myself tomorrow is there any other change I missed though?

      There isn't really anything new for Brad Wong except the things you've mentioned. There is ONE more "new" move that he has got, but it has been in DOA4 before, so not really new. The input is holding up (or down) for a bit and then P. It's a mid punch that can evade some stuff, but only when your opponent is real close. It's unsafe and slow, so no real reason to ever use it over the normal SSA.

      @@themscloud changed those back to 88 and 22 because it was causing problems for ground hit moves. RIP to the guy who wanted the other doa 5 sidestep input. linear moves are a little less sticky in the new update but i don't know how much of a difference it makes to the characters with the doa 4 evasive attacks. Team ninja did some kind of system nerf to freestep with the new game engine and we don't know how to change that but i'd love to make the slow guys move a little better.

      @@kaiserruhsam yooooo, holy hell, are you the guy who made ++? I want to thank you for all of your efforts first! It's super awesome that you are so damn committed to improve the sloppy 6! I am a fan of the unfriendly wall bound move change, the reduced SSA knock back distance, and of course, I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart that you've changed the hitboxes and got rid of these stup extra fingertip capsules (DOA was good without them for like 15 years lol). I really love that you've even increased Brad Wongs LFT/LHT side step speed. It was indeed harder/trickier to evade stuff with his side roll in 6 due the changed input from 8/2 into 88/22. The increased speed helps a lot, even though it might be a little toooooo speedy now xD But hey, I won't complain (and I'm not even sure if it really is too powerful. You can still low throw him anyway all the time). Interesting to hear that the freestep works different in 6 due to that Dynastie Warriors engine! I was always wondering why they felt the need to have that engine change anyway. The engine was fine imo. I was always wondering btw... is there really more input lagg that comes with the new engine? I read some complains from some players that they felt that 5LR had less input delay. I can't really confirm. I feel no real difference between 5 and on console, but I do feel that 6 runs waaaay better on PC than on PS4/5, of course.

      ​@@themscloud yup that's me. i'm glad you like the system changes, some of them were a little speculative but it seems like at least some of my informal education in strategy games design carries over. brad is a little too low profile at the moment, even ducking bass/raidou 1p sometimes so that'll have to get tweaked a little bit but there are a pile of tall mids that will continue to miss. the side-rolls probably do need to be on a lower speed multiplier, but i can investigate changing them to single inputs. those are generally compatible between games so it should be easy enough. at some point i might be able to grab the actual hurtbox dimensions from an older game or pre-nerf 6 but i don't have a timeline on that. as far as I know the engine change was part of koei's requirements for doa 6 to exist at all, with team ninja being made to do some generic work on the engine for future (relative to doa 6's early development) games. If there's less input delay on 5 than 6 offline on pc I don't think i ever noticed

      Yes, he absolutely can! The hitboxes are back to how how they always were. Well, in many ways, they are even MORE broken now somehow, which is good for Brad, I guess? XD But to be honest, I'd love to see some more work on this mod and even at least sooooooome fixes for the hit- and hurtboxes so that it'll be more fair for both sides. Befofe this patch, the hitboxes were all against Brad Wongs playstyle, but in og DOA6 vanilla, the hitboxes were too much in Brad Wongs favor. So a balance in between the middle would be awesome. But yeah, as for DOA6++, he can dodge pretty much EVERYTHING now!

      Yes, this version of Brad is definitely WAY better than his current version on the latest official version for DOA6. I'd even say that this ++ version here is op in many ways. The only question is how much better the other characters in this ++ version are...

      @@jonosono I'd love to do that, but there is no real point since there are only 3 things that have been changed for him. You can check out the patchnotes here: pastebin.com/8hQcDeed Basically, the only real change for him is that his side step (or rather side "roll") from his lying stance is waaaaay faster now. Also, his general free step speed has been increased. He also got an old move from DOA4 back (hold 8 or hold 2 and then P), but it's not a exactly a good move or anything. It was probably hidden in the files and Team Ninja didn't use it for DOA6.

      Pelican gets it right. It's just too much fun playing Brad Wong! Even after all this time, I can still learn quite a lot stuff from time to time. I'd also love to play more DOA6, but the last patches for 6 that changed how general hitboxes for all characters work made me lose all interest in 6. :(

      Juuuuust a normal PS4- or in this case, PS5 controller and dpad only. I never use the analog stick ever. Oh yeah, the combo @2:36 is real, but it isn't his most DMGing one, so I rarely use it. It is pretty nice for wall carry though and in that moment @2:36 I must have thought something like "it'll kill anyway, so might as well be flashy" (who knows whats up inside the head of a Brad Wong player lol). But yeah, I see that it didn't even kill lol. Haha, I'm glad you noticed that I pretty much ALWAYS cancle the BT throw! I rather go for mix ups and rarely take that sweet Hi Counter throw damage. Veeeery rarely I do let the BT throw play out when I wanna be reeeeally sure to take the win, but most of the time, I'm aiming for a vortex. It's also just too much fun playing around with all the possibilities that this throw set up gives. But good call on that! Cause even I sometimes doubt that it's so super wise to always go for set ups after that throw. But it's just too much fun! I just can't stop! XD

She is a totally op character on paper even in 5LR, but for a number of reasons, you can still manage to deal with in 5LR. But in DOA6 on the other hand... oh hell, completely op if you ask me. Not saying that she plays all by herself, no. You really have to play her in an intersting way to constantly get the Tina madness out of her. But yeah, DOA6' general system just favors her gameplay a little too well and at the end, DOA6 Tina is just too good for no real reason, not even execution heavy wise speaking.

    I remember this godlike video I love it, it's like one of those zero damage ones from the COMBONAUTS 👏 too bad the sequence is no longer possible in DOA6, now Lisa 236P has a huge pushbox that prevents her from hopping over bodies, and her very last charged kick would've probably hit due to the increased hurtboxes across the cast 😔

      Haha, thats super cool that you remember it! I always wanted to do a bigger version of it with the whole cast of DOA. Not like complete fights between every character, but more like short sequences between Kasumi/Ayane, Hayabusa/Hayate, Bass/Tina... something like that. But I'd need quite a lot of help for that lol.

      And yeah, the fact that the last patch for DOA6 completely changed the hitboxes made me completely stop playing it. The hitboxes in DOA were always broken, no doubt abot that. And in DOA6, it was especially bad. But having this big universal change in how hitboxes generally behave now doesn't make much sense when you consider the fact that there are still moves in the game where the whole purpose of them is to evade mid strikes (tech crouch moves). So yeah, they have fixed like 25% of broken hitbox stuff in the game now in the most laziest way possible, but also destroyed another 35% of the previously working "evading moves" that have worked in an intended way ever since DOA2. ...And I mean, I don't have to tell you how much it actually effected Brad Wong, a character that was build around the possibilities of evading stuff. And don't get me wrong, DOA6' Brad Wong was broken with his sometimes untouchable hurtbox. But they should have just fixed his and other characters HURTbox, not just adding hitboxes to the fingertips of all characters lol. Another problem is that the hitboxes don't even make a lot of visual sense now. DOA7 better has those particle effects ready in order to conceal this mess. XD

      @@themscloud I hear ya brother. I actually looked into the jank hurtboxes a bit, they came with DOA6 patch 1.15 dated 2019-11-26. For example, a staple of evasion, Leifang 1P, avoids Jann Lee 6P CLEAN as usual up to 1.14, but in 1.15 she gets SMACKED in the face every time =_= Did you know we have a working hitbox viewer on PC now? Using it you can clearly visualize the disaster they implemented with patch 1.15: 5 whole new hurtboxes for everyone. 2 small hands+2 small feet that are stupid and often disjointed, but that's merely the tip of the iceberg. The big thing they added is... DA PILL... a colossal, humongous, gigantesque, ginormous, huge, grotesque, capsule-shaped equalizer that penetrates the body of every character in the game for every animation in the game, aimed to prevent pretty much any mid from being crushed. I'm gonna tell my children Team NINJA saw how YOU played Brad Wong in DOA6WC, didn't like it, and NUKED all hurtboxes out of spite. It wouldn't even be the first time TN acts like this, after all they only nerfed the Phase missile after XCal won CEO 2019 grand final vs Hood by abusing that move lol

      @@WAZAAAAA0 OMG, thanks so much for this! I've spoken to quite a few players about the hitbox mess and I feel that way too many of them didn't even see the bigger picture. I mean the vast majority of them fortunately knows how fucked up all of this is, but there is so much more to this. The biggest issue for me is that you could clearly feel the lack of direction Team Ninja was heading for in the last days of DOA6. Not just because of the hitboxes, but also because of the way they've changed other stuff that has been in DOA since forever, like this new slow motion Tekken 7 wannabe effect that you'll now get whenever you're holding a move that'll give you a "sidestep" instead of actual hold damage. And I mean, I could be wrong here, but you'll also get more frame advantage now from this slow motion effect, don't you? I've seen that this new "sidestep hold slow motion" can give you SO much advantage, that you can even guaranteed BT combo/launch/juggle/BreakBlow someones ass into destructible item ~ repeat step 1... now. And while some could argue that this brings new possibilities to the table, I'm questioning this decision. Because, when you think about it, what was the whole purpose of only getting a side step animation when holding certain moves to begin with?! Imo the purpose was so that you're opponent CAN'T get too much damage from a regular Hi-Counter hold! It was nice to have this safer option of moves that won't deal too much DMG to you in case your opponent was good on holding you on the last few frames. And moves like Brad Wongs 6H+K were also perfectly well balanced. They were a good option to crush low moves, they didn't really lauch so high that the reward was too big for the lower risk... it all made sense. But now? You can get punished harder for trying Brads 6H+K that'll only lead into a mini juggle than for trying your best regular unsafe launch for no real reason, and I just can't see why they've felt the reason to implement this "system". And haha, thx a lot bro! I had to laugh a little thinking that Team Ninja saw me at the world tour and thought "THIS IS TOO MUCH!". I played so bad there and didn't even do anything special as far as I can remember. I'd be more honored when they would have taking their time to actually watch ONE of my compilation videos! Those were actually made with the idea in mind of archiving Brad Wongs most broken and stupid evading stuff so that they could patch these specific frames where he becomes invincible. I never felt really good about this either. I always wanted a Brad Wong that woks similar to Helena, where Brad has a clear set of rules on what can hit him and what can't. But if I had to choose, I'd still say let us have Brad in his first form than having to play Brad in THIS version of 6. I mean, check out Brads LFT 8P+K on block. It's neutral (+0) on block. It leaves the situation open to pretty much everything, an OH, a LFT K, a low LFT H+K... but I dare you, try it against Hayabusa or 80% of the DOA6 cast NOW after this hitbox patch... Characters with a tracking mid that is around 17 frames like Busas 4P can now DESTROY Brads "safe" LFT 8P+K on block. Oh, this also counts for Brads LHT 8P+K or any other of his previously safe moves that'll leave him in his lying stance. It really is just a mess... I was even talking to the guy who created these new moves for Brad! He is such an amazing guy that is so damn passionate about DOA and we were both talking about how cool these new moves were and how much Brad needed a move that lifts him up from his lying stance so he can evade low moves! If you ask me, Brad Wong was one of the best characters im DOA6 in the first year of DOA6. He was even TOO good with his broken hitboxes, but other than that, he'd been a very well made character that could have even been very competitive for the first time ever. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Oh, and I also had to laugh so hard when I read your conclusion of the hitbox viewer and all of your metaphors for it. XD I need to check out the hitbox viewer myself, now that I finally have a better PC that is actually working lol. Would love to be able to actually see all of this mess. XD 😆

      ​@@themscloud im gonna b honest with u chief, I like the new slowmo on hold resistant strikes (once again from patch 1.15 lol), it was one of the DOA5LR issues I reported on FSD and TN actually dealt with it. Now I can't post any link without the YT comment filter freaking out, but the issue was that the "side step looking animation" caused unpredictable side switches with the camera, making punishes clunky and inconsistent. "My" suggested solution was to return to the much more reliable old DOA2U/DOA3-esque "side switch animation", and keep the "side step looking animation" only for holding far projectiles... but TN went for the slowmo solution, which prevents the camera from freaking out, keeps the same frame advantage (punishes are easier because you have more time to think), and it goes WOOOA SWOOOSH SLOWMOO in the process which looks pretty baller imo Brad being the evasive monster he was made me sit back and actually lab some counter-strats for the matchup, stuff like better utilizing my mids with ground strike property, or even backdashing after a GB... but none of that matters anymore now that all hurtboxes look the same lol Hey wanna raise ur salt levels a bit more? Remember when Brad's Close Hit move went from landing 100% of the time, to like 10% (wall only)? GG that was me 😂 I merely reported his move having longer Close Hit range than actual range... so they reduced it and now he can never land it lmaoo But hey maybe you will be able to relive your OG Brad if u a fan of Rainbow Edition stuff (I'm not), cuz 2 people are working on DOA6++, it's a PC moveset mod and one of the changes undid the extra hurtboxes for everyone Hmmmm was the new moves dude called Jason? Saw a cool interview from him who talked about DOA6 animations! I heard he was nicknamed "Ninja Gaijin" by the team lmaoooo that's DOPE. If that's the guy he's also the system voice in 6 (which, alas, I dislike and have replaced with a non-default one for the first time don't @ me) hey play the X-Files theme 2019-11-23: DOA6WC Finals 2019-11-26: patch 1.15 coincidences? I think the F. NOT
