I consider myself a fan, having seen Lanegan about ten times, including with the Trees and QOTSA, and having his solo albums. But I'm still discovering collaborations like this. The man was so prolific and so willing to work with such a range of artists. Really sad he's gone but at least he left us his body of work. Thanks, Mark.
Will never be another Mark Lanegan ... an incredible loss for us all..his absence screams like a banshee in the night...
I feel as if Mark and his songs own the night. There is something magical about him that when he sings its like your swept into the dream of the songs story. I cannot explain it, just like he opens this gate and your swept into a dark beautiful world like a new born child experiencing life for the first time. With his passing I feel like its even more powerful now. Open your eyes and dream for the night comes again.

First time hearing this - July 22, 2023. It grabbed me immediately and my eyes filled with tears. I never met him, but I still miss him terribly.

Probably on violin too, or at least when I 1st saw her ,way before she joined The Pixies, as part of Jarboe´s solo touring band she played a few instruments at that particular gig (violin inclusive ) ...incredible musician she is.
