Anders Klapp is a filmmaker running his own production company in Stockholm, Sweden. Besides his commercial work, he has developed a more adventurous side of filmmaking exploring remote places, people, and adventures. This has brought him to skiing volcanos in Japan, finding his soul in Varanasi, wave surfing in Norway, and much more of which all journeys have been made into films.

Kebnekaise. Taking the eastern route up to the south summit.
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I got invited by Robin Trygg and Michael Wenngren to join their group of hikers to Kebnekaise in July 2021. I brought the camera and put together this little travel pic from the journey. There are two main routes to the peak, either you hike the western route which would take you about 10-12 hours of fairly easy trekking. Or you can go the eastern route which takes about 6-8 hours depending on ...

Beautiful video.. thank you♥️🇳🇴
Smukt
Hi Anders! Thanks for this beautiful video, love the narration and poetic images. I was wondering which period of the year did you go ? Would you advise this period ? Also, are there "many" other activites to do in case of bad weather ? Thank you in advance !!! :)
Hi, I was there in October because the surf is best in the autumn. Not much else to do except hiking. The whole area is beautiful. It’s also nice to go by car to surrounding villages and enjoy the landscape. Good luck on your trip!
looks like a ton of fun.
Sååå fin!!
Wow man 😳 We are poor people so we can't trek in sagarmatha 😔
I’m sorry to hear. Its really worth it if you can save up for it. I wish you luck!

Thank you Manoj! I really appreciate your lovely comment!😀🙌
😍😍
Just wow 😍
Hey, thanks, glad you liked it👍
Just a heads up mate , Rob Hall made the call back to his wife in New Zealand not Australia as you said
Beautiful work, stunning. I trekked to EBC twice, in 1982 and 1990, from Jiri, which is a long ways from Lukla. The beauty of this arduous journey is that for many days and many miles you experience the lowland foothills, the vibrant terraces clinging to steep hillsides, the ridges and river valleys, the Solu Khumbu villages and culture relatively unaffected by tourism en masse, and finish with a true sense of just how remote Mount Everest used to be. Highly recommended since I doubt many tourists today are willing to do it.
Hi Mac, glad you liked the film. Sounds really interesting the journey you did. Wonder if it still is as remote as when you did the hike? I'll definitely check it out to see if that is my next journey in the region. I'm also looking to got to Bhutan.
on which months you went there?
I was there the end of September and beginning of October.
Hi Anders, thanks for sharing the video. This is absolutely amazing!
Thank you! I'm really glad you liked it!

Thanks glad you liked it. I went between 26 of September to 11 of October. Just at the end of the monsoon season. What a great place Nepal is!🙌😀

Nice done bro! 🤙
Hi Anders, Thanks for this! What a perfect recap of your trip. I did the 3P by the end of Sept & thru Oct 2019. I (luckily) missed the belate monsoon in September. Trip of a lifetime. Need to go back for more of this. Mountains are humbling!! Cheers!
Thank you! It's such a great place to be in.🙏I also long to go back.
Well, as I understand, the way to Everest used to entail a trek from Kathmandu. So, perhaps “earning it” is relative.
Yes, that's however a long walk. Nowadays many consider the EBC trek to start in Lukla. I don't know when you were there, but it was obvious how many helicopters flew people in when I hiked there, and I think that is to miss a great part of the whole experience.
If if I know,I go to that
I love that:-)
Any plans to climb an 8000 peak?
I'd love to come along and shoot climbing on a 8000m peak! I understand how tough it is, but that would be a great adventure.
The views are less maybe coz most of the people don't know the native name of Everest is "Sagarmatha". I like the way you presented it ... rare and beautiful view of the offseason trek to Everest. Hopefully, this bucket list will be ticked by the end of this year.
Yes, Sagarmatha is not that known, but it felt good to honor the local name of Everest. Glad you liked it!
i like such travel videos where you film more what's around rather than yourself.
