At Home in the South
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 20 มี.ค. 2014
Life in the South is often at a slower pace. At times, it can come to a halt. Down here, we enjoy the great outdoors and like to spend as much time as possible enjoying nature. Whether it's working on a home project, taking a hike through the woods, or just sitting on the porch, we appreciate the simpler life. Come along on this journey with me as I share some of the activities that I enjoy, and hopefully for a few moments, you can feel at home in the South.

Can you guess what i just traded my Kubota L3901 for?

Hey boss, how bad do those ag tires tear up the turf? Can you provide me with any insight? Thank you!
They are pretty rough on the lawn especially if you have it in 4wd when turning. If I have to be on the lawn I take it out of 4wd and just try to make wider turns then it's not too bad
In case anyone is wondering no warranty is going to void your claim because you used another name brand oil with proper spec. Personally I use Rotella T4 and T6 just because it’s good, cheap, and available at any Walmart in 5 gallon buckets.
Props to you for getting a gear drive, everyone wants a hydrostat, although I don't know why.
My toy ertl 1970's tractors were metal
Question: Are you in float mode as you back up? As i understand it, using hydraulic pressure could possible damage the cylinders on the loader if used that way.
No, but I don't put much pressure on the grapple. I will try in float mode next time. Thanks for the advice
Love mine!!
Never thought about dragging stuff out like that. Another plus is that’s a good way to find something that may damage a brush cutter or mower blades.
Yes. Works really good in unfamiliar areas. We bought this property over four years ago and I had no idea what was in there
American by birth, Southern by the grace of God! Yeeehaw!
Nice deer!
I mean i get that i wouldn't pay for a plastic tractor either i mean its too fragile and honestly i don't care about what it looks like i just care it can do what i need it to do
Beautiful im in love
I have an old tractor just like that but a little bit smaller
Love those old tractors. All makes and models
@@athomeinthesouth01I love old tractors too but I also have an old 1960s jeep and it runs
@Rattlesnake13 cool. Love old jeeps too. I particularly like the old CJs

Google says MSRP is $1,079 new.
Thats about right
Non firing replica.
NO! It's the real thing!
Kubota pay once cry once 😢 .Kubota is the " Toyota " of small power equipment $$$😊
Ran one of those but that one the for back East in California the head is taller and we ran a single wheel yoke great pickers
I have looked hard at this Tractor and also prefer the gear drive. The Kubota Dealership near me are asking several thousand dollars more than other Kubota Dealerships. The salesman argued with me about lifting capacity for five minutes while sitting at his desk looking at his computer. Come to find out he was looking at the metric system and saying lbs. Couldn’t believe it. Mason Tractor. I had only bad experiences with them. Went and purchased 2 LS Tractors.

Damn, that's a beautiful revolver! Great job keeping it in shape, we need more big irons in our lives 🦅 I'm curous, how much does 45 long colt ammo even cost?
Thanks! Plain target ammo can be around $1 per round. I don't shoot it often as you can imagine with those prices.
@@athomeinthesouth01 fair enough. Still, real beautiful gun! I love your videos!
Wow amazing
Thanks! Please share

Its good to see ya make a video! seems like it has been a wile. That job looks great! yall be safe.
Thanks. Yeah, it's been a while. Gonna try to keep em coming.
I wish I looked at different mowers before buying a Kubota Z726X what a pos this mower turned out to be. Only has 300.3 Hours on it and I have changed two coils, the Fuel pump, Starter, and one spindle. Cost me over 12k and I was going to trade it in and they were only going to give me 4300.00 for it. Never again Kubota for a lawn mower-Love my L3901 Tractor the mower sucks.
Wow. Hate to hear that! I hope mine serves me well.
I just wish it had more power. I have the same Mower. I like it but it need a few more horses. And the pump whine is loud.
I've only noticed the power deficiency in tall grass, which I try not to let happen. Other than that, no problems
According to google your BH215 is a 4’ cutter but yours looks like a 6’. What size is it really?
5'
@@athomeinthesouth01 hey thanks for your reply 🤙🏽
@@ocho27hd since this video i have upgraded my tractor to a L4701. You can see that in one of my later videos. I'm considering upgrading the bushhog to a 6'.
@@athomeinthesouth01 oh yeah, a 6’ would do! I’m also wanting to upgrade to a 4701 or MX but the bigger the tractor the more expensive the implements. We always want more 😂
Google is wrong. The Bush Hog BH215 is a 5 foot medium duty rotary cutter. I have the series before this model came out. I have a 5 foot BH15. Excellent Bush Hogs!!
They are GREAT mowers! Had one for a few years and loved it!
I’ve got the same model that I purchased in 2017. It’s a hoss when it comes to cutting grass. Im sticking to what i know. Kubota is the zero turn mower for me!
yeeeeeee hoooooooooh
They sold me on the old pond but I'm not sure they would the bill 3x’s !
I have a 2016 Kubota Z724 w/54 inch deck and 450 engine hours. It's exactly like yours...they nailed it with this design and have no need to change anything on the design. Your parts would fit mine etc. It's built like a tank...hydros, spindles, three spindle re-enforcement circular plates under the deck blades etc. I removed the grass chute a long time ago...don't need it. I maintain it per user manual except for oil and filter which I change every year and only use Amsoil. I also use air to blow out air filter several times per season. SPECIALNOTE...get a spare carbon cannister sponge filter and plug it mounts on. Most people never clean them because they don't read the manual or just don't know it exists. But I do everytime I clean the air filter...helps with carburation. Having a spare allows you to swap it out immediatly without having to hand wash and dry the existing one. They last forever but having a spare to rotate in and out of service makes it easier. EZ-PZ. I also have a complete brand new 54 inch bagger system for it that has never been used or mounted. Still in all the factory boxes. Will sell it to you at a much better price then you could get anywhere else. I just don't need it. I don't know how you could contact me though. Maybe through Craigslist if you were interested.
I bought a kubuta Z724 series 2 years ago i really like it strong and efficient,!! Good choice
Kubota and John deere are in my town. I bought the Deere just because it was real close to my house. It's a Z530M, with 54 inch deck. I like yours too, hope I don't regret not buying Kubota. So far so good. I'm new to zero turns..
Hope it serves you well
Hustler fas trak is a nice mower. I bought one. I think you made a good choice. I oned a craftsman gt6000 for over 30 years. It has a 44 inch deck. My hustler has a 54 inch with duel fuel tanks. You can choose witch tank you run from. 4.25 gallon per tank. I got 3200 hydro transmissions. But I almost bought a Kubota from our local dealer.
Where did you get your pipe and sleeve from?
A local family owned building supply near me. You can probably find it about anywhere.
Y’all goin to the fishing hole?
I'm not sure what to think about that pond story....I have owned a lot of Kubota equipment and I hang out at my local dealer all the time. I asked the owner of the dealership if that was possible and he said not in this dealership or any of the other dealerships he knows the owners of. So your friend is extremely, extremely, extremely lucky. I suggest he start buying lottery tickets daily....
Yeah, I thought that was not likely either, but I bet the sales guy was talking about the Kubota insurance that you can opt for if you have a loan on the unit. It’s pretty good and would cover accidents after a small deductible.
Yeah you’re my new favorite TH-camr. You explained it perfectly and I never got confused, thankyou for putting in the time and effort to make these videos I appreciate you!
Thanks for the kind words. I hope to get back to making more soon.
Love my L 4701!!
Kubota Z400 series is entry level commercial. Z200 series is residential. You won't regret the Kubota. It's all I've been running commercially for 3 yeas now.
I look forward to spring to get back on it
How are you likeing this model after a few months? I have a z421 that ive been using it commercially for a few years but its time for a full commercial model.
I only got to use it about half dozen times before season ended but really liked it. I look forward to mowing season this year.
