All of those places are great, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Some of Louisville's best restaurants are not right downtown. Louisville is a true foodie town and it will take you weeks to eat at all of the outstanding restaurants in the metro.

Try the Highlands area Bardstown road is very good

Besides being a foodie town, Louisville is a great sports town too, especially for one that has only one major league sports team (Racing Louisville of the NWSL). One might think the people know a lot about horse racing and while there are some experts on that subject, outside of two weeks you won't hear a lot of race talk, but basketball is something the natives can speak on expertly, and do all year round. Louisville ranks as the number one city for watching college basketball in the nation and number two isn't even close.

Next time you come back you have to check out the Highlands neighborhood. Very cool area with a lot of different shops and restaurants. Has a kind of Portland vibe to it.

As a Louisville transplant I thoroughly enjoyed your trip through all my favorite neighborhoods and eateries (and a few I need to try soon!). My family doesn't like the turkey in hot browns either so I now make a casserole version with bread cubes and chicken instead of turkey, which they all love!

Doc crows is very overrated. Been a couple of times and it's been very underwhelming. Slugger museum is a straight up tourist trap. Barley any players today use them. If it wasn't for people paying money to go to the museum they would have been out of business 20 years ago
