Everyone says that it's worse in the headset but I disagree with that. For me, it's decent enough to enjoy vr. Of course it's not better than monitors but it's pretty good

From my experience, always leave the resolution at default and increase or decrease the pixel density if needed

This is acc and unfortunately modding not supported. Acc is click and play you don't need to download mods for cars or tracks

No I haven't changed my settings. Honestly I didn't try to optimize further because it works flawless for me. Image distortion may be possible due to hardware bottleneck on some tracks, weather or time. Turn on fps overlay in openxr and keep an eye on it to know whether youre cpu or gpu limited

@@SimCraftStudio You don't have to think of big distortions, but of the kind that DLSS or FSR do. In our case, CAS is on at 50% and the sharpness is set to 300 in the game. These are also artificially generated things, which is why I thought it was over sharpened. Moreover, in the Oculus Debug Tool, Link Sharpening, is set to High. Although I've tried that on Normal, I didn't really notice a difference. Otherwise, I have CPU Headroom: +40-50%, GPU Headroom: 10-15%

I would say upgrade your GPU. Cpu upgrade can improve your experience at the start of the race but gpu upgrade improve your overall gameplay enjoyment

Biggest difference is at the starts and in the pits especially in crowd races. Other than that frametime is better with the 5800x3d but fps is almost the same

You mean in the openxr toolkit? If you can't see iRacing exe try to run the game normally then restart the toolkit

You mean your view changes while driving? I don't have a hp reverb but it could be a tracking issue. Try to light up your play area more

@@SimCraftStudio Yeah, just the steering. didn't have it on f1 23, but when I installed f1 24 I ended up having it on both games.

That's weird. Maybe uninstall both games and delete F1 folders on my documents can help

@@SimCraftStudioI messed around with settings since and it’s the ASW, when it’s disabled my wheel animation is really low fps. having it enabled is awful so I’ll just have to live with it until EA make a game that works lol.

Your system is not bad but ACC needs a powerful cpu and gpu. I guess you can run with my settings maybe decrease the pixel density few clicks and visible cars to 10 or lower value. Try and let me know if it works:)

@railex4888 it's an overlay added via simhub app. But you can't see it in your vr vision it's just there for obs recording

Thank you :) Unfortunately that's the way how vr recording. I used oculus mirror and it has setting about cropping the output image. If you don't want to use oculus mirror lean a little bit to left and press recenter image. It feels odd to driving at the passenger side but it is what it is :)

Your fps will be better with the 7900x3d for sure. Especially at the race starts and in the pits which is the hardest scenario in racing games. 7900x3d is one of the best cpus for gaming.I would say go for it

While in game head to the performance tab in openxr toolkit and select advanced like I did in the video:)

@@SimCraftStudio I missed that bit. Indeed, it’s my cpu. Turning on ‘turbo mode’ in the toolkit (killing asw), made a huge difference for me, fyi Locked at 90 until I get near pit or every car at once. When I do, my cpu render time nears 10+ ms. otherwise it’s now at around 6 on average. Guess I need an 7800X3D!

@derpnooner I don't know if it's your cpu or poor acc optimization. I'm also having issues at the starts and in the pits. I guess simracing in general needs a lot of computing power

Just put a -vr in the game properties in epic launcher. Also I used openxr instead of steamvr

F1 24 and Meta Quest 3

I have f1 24 but no vr but from this vid I'll probably buy a meta quest 3.❤ But how to get pov view?(From inside helmet) I also subbed btw

Honestly I don't think that it deserves the price for the simracing. Q3 is good standalone headset but Q2 is good heardset for pcvr

@@SimCraftStudio yeah that’s kinda what I had thought when I had tried the 3 briefly. I’m dabbling back into vr sim racing again with my quest 2. Do you really notice any extra clarity with the 3 that noticeably improves your racing? Everyone says the 3 is leaps and bounds better but when I had tried it before returning it, I didn’t really notice anything groundbreaking. Certainly not for the price.

With the q2 center of the image looks much better and sharper. After buying the q3 I searched and found it's a known thing with the q3 pancake lenses. Q3 is more comfortable with a better weight distribution and straps. Overall I'm kinda happy with the q3 but I was expecting better visuals as some people comment, sadly that is not true. I heard q3 supports better codec but I haven't try it because it needs 4series nvidia and recent amd cards

There must be something wrong mate. My game is very smooth and it's not that blurry. Ofc it's not sharp as iRacing or ac but it's playable. Can you tell me your cpu and gpu?

Is it lagging in the pits or on track? If it only lagging in the pits, I think its a common problem but you can make it better by turn on dynamic resolution, set it to aggressive make it around 60 or lower in the video settings. I'm pretty sure it will be better

@@SimCraftStudio I've already tried that, I have exactly the same settings as in this video, only I have the resolution scale at 175% and the vr pixel density at 200% and I'm playing at a locked 60 fps and it seems to me that it's pixelated or blurry in the distance.

Unfortunately it's the nature of vr and also acc not the "best" looking vr game. I accepted the acc as it is and I enjoy driving it

I found that it's easier to tweak pixel density when changing in game. And it's just a theory, I can't prove that but I assume when we maxed out in oculus software we waste some headroom for oculus dashboard that we don't need it in game:) of course it's just what I thought:)

@@SimCraftStudio Yes, it's smoother on track, but not as good as F1 2023. Unfortunately, it's not playable for me.

@Eddie4774 @Eddie4774 that is weird. It runs smoother than the last year for me. You can try to change dynamic resolution profile to aggressive and scale to 50. I'm sure that will help
