Some people simply aren't cut out to drive a car with a 911's power and 600 pounds of engine in the rear of the car with turbos and possibly turbo lag. It's not a car for just anyone and if you aren't a hell of a driver the back end could change places with the front very quickly. Other people who can drive one may not want to have to devote that kind of attention all the time. Or maybe they actually want to carry more than two people comfortably.

I believe it's a matter of taste and style 🤔. German vs. British, front-engine vs. rear-engine, precise vs. agile.

@@HerrinSchadenfreude I own a 2024 992.1S. I have also driven a vantage. There is no, zero, zilch, nada turbo lag on a 911. You would know this if you have driven one. They remain planted on the road. There is zero roll around corners. It goes where you tell it to go. The opposite is true with the Vantage. This not my opinion although it is my experience. This is a fact. They are the benchmark sports car in this space. They can also be used as a daily driver compared to much of the competition. If you want a more comfortable car I would suggest a Lexus. And by the way…. German engineering over British is a no brainer. Always German. It’s just superior. That’s also a fact.

@bobby3914 They got their regenesis when Ford owned them, they took American money and built the best cars they ever built; that is to say - Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Ranger Rover. Tata bought Jaguar and Range Rover, modestly improved Range Rover comparatively to where Ford bought it... They had an easier job when they bought Range Rover from Ford, it was a way smaller pill to swallow, they made such a boutique niche for them they really couldn't screw it up. Jaguar, on the other hand whoever the designers were at the day they decided that the sloped rear [or what they wanna call the sport back saloon] was ever popular. They literally screwed it up, what they should have did [if they wanted to introduce as BMW did] and introduced a notch back as a separate model - that's what BMW did with the grand turismo. And kept the classic Sedan, you don't see a 7 series hatchback, do you? Lol! The whole line is a joke with Jaguar now.. they should sell it back to Ford, let them fix it 😆
