I think there are many elements that has influence to performance. Cold weather has more oxygen, but there is less grip on the wheels.

@@Lambo_Davidyea also I noticed performance diferencies in my car depending on the quality of the fuel. Always ron 98, but some gas stations have better fuel than others.

@@s25117 Definately true, with many cars I found out that Shell V-Power had faster response.

@@Lambo_David yes Shell here is better. 1st shell and 2nd Repsol. Also is necessary a high influx of people to the gas station to get new and renovated gas more often.

Hayir, 520otomatik diferansiyel, vitesten daha hafif, cunki sanzuman daha agir. O yuzden 520diesel vites diferansiyeli taktirdim :-)

Lower RPM at highway gives more comfort. Besides, when you tune and have more HP, than you can accellerate faster because you don lose less time for shifting (0-100km/ph).

Heb ook net tweedehands 520d E60 gekocht. Enkel al testrit mee gedaan, heb de wagen nog niet. 177pk maar denk dat ik hem toch ga laten tunen naar 215pk en 410nm koppel. Hij heeft wel standaard 340nm koppel en mijn getunede Saab had maar 310nm. De BMW weegt 300kg meer, maar ik denk toch dat hij sneller zal accelereren dan de Saab als ik voluit ga. De Saab had 195pk bij 6500 tpm, de BMW heeft de volle 177pk bij 4000 tpm.

Verandert de tuning iets aan het geluid van de motor als hij stationair draait? Het 'standaardgeluid' is niet echt 'sportief' te noemen. Maar heb al gemerkt dat wanneer hij stationair 1000rpm hoger draait, het geluid beter is.

Nee veranderd niets aan het geluid... Het blijft wel een diesel hé :-) Zodra je gas geeft gaat de dieselgeluid wel weg.

Ja idd, zodra hij 1000 toeren hoger draait gaat dat 'traktorgeluid' wel weg. Dus ik probeer zo weinig mogelijk stil te staan :-). Wat tuning betreft: mijn garagist wil hem max. tot 190pk tunen... 13pk meer... niet echt e moeite denk ik. Dus denk dat ik hem stock ga houden. Is eigenlijk wel pittig genoeg in DS mode en manueel. Hij lijkt wel sneller te accelereren vanaf 100km/u. Voor ik het weet zit ik aan 160 - 180. Dat voel ik helemaal niet. Weet niet of het geluid van de motor minder hoorbaar zou zijn als ik een sportuitlaat zou steken. Vermoed dat het niet veel zal uitmaken.
