Volvo Penta 290 SP overhaul top end.

Starting at the top end of my Volvo Penta 290 Stern Drive, This drive has just been removed from my Hardy Fisher 20 which a Penta 230 engine fitted.

Great work mate any more videos on this sterndrive . Have a noise between top and lower drive unit . And milky oil trying to diagnose the issue.

Unfortunately not, i ended up having so little time i just had to crack on with it, filming took a lot of time up. “The Ayr Cave Shop” channel has an excellent set of videos worth looking at. I suggest taking a look at the brass thrust washer that apparently deforms allowing too much movement and a rattle in the top unit.
