I have owned many cars over many years, I’ve had engines that people say are bulletproof and I have had engines that people say are extremely unreliable and it’s been my experience that it depends on the individual car, its use and its maintenance. If you maintain a car well, change the oil and filter very frequently ( and often the service interval noted In the spec is far too long) and treat it with respect and mechanical sympathy it can go on and on. Sadly the 1.4 TSI does have GDI (direct injection) which is not ideal, but the chain is better than many new cars with wet belts. In my experience you can’t go wrong if you follow the service schedule to the letter and do an additional oil and filter change half way through. Use top quality filters, spark plugs and oils and when repairs are needed do use genuine parts. Change the coolant on time and pay attention to temp, if your car ever starts to overheat for any reason just stop as soon as possible and find out why, never ever drive a car that is overheating as it will cause damage.

WHY so ugly? They always make the EV-Version of their cars ugly... I assume so nobody buys them, so they have an excuse to produce more petrol cars... CHECK OUT TESLA - beautiful, much sportier, more spaceous, far more efficient (huge range) cars - and actually cheaper than any German car by now. Whilst keeping their value much longer. TESLA - no compromises!
