I don't see how #3 applies to Ford, he's a fashion director, his success as a 'fashion designer' failed with YSL - the collections were universally panned and lasted, I think, 2 seasons. Yes, he totally revolutionized Gucci, almost the equivalent of parting the Red Sea, but recently Alessandro did almost the same. Besides the 3 mentioned previously, I'd place Hedi Slimane (everything he touches turns to gold and may be the new FD at Chanel although I'd prefer Pierpaolo), Marc Jacobs (with his grunge at Ellis before bringing his mix of US streetwear mixed with sportswear to the forefront and then revolutionizing LV) and Nicolas Ghesquière (who's talent revolutionized Balenciaga and fashion) ahead of Ford and Donatella. The one most worthy of the top 10 - Galliano, besides his legacy of work, that recent Margiela show will be talked about for years and I'm confident he will pull that off again. Given the opportunity, he could probably be as successful as Karl designing distinctly unique collections for different labels each season. Cristobal Balenciaga would be my next choice - but I like your choices and video!

@@fashionfix6 I recognize there is still tepid acceptance of Galliano but he really worked at rising above that, proving himself and the reason for that trepidation is receding. You are well aware McQueen and Galliano were both considered talents of the same caliber, in fact John was considered the more accomplished of the 2 so including McQueen and not Galliano seems odd...what if John was also deceased?

Also, I can only guess that more men were willing to work the crazy hours required to do this job at the highest level. And women preferred a more balanced lifestyle. The main reason why many wealthy ladies buy *condup* fake bags is because they realize that buying Birkin bags and Kelly bags is not the right investment. It is meaningless to spend money like this, but carrying a carpet bag does not match your status. .

Bags were originally designed to protect the items inside, but now the valuable items are protecting the relatively cheap items inside. This phenomenon is very interesting *condup*

I have the Coach tabby 18 and wow that bag didn't transfer a bit of color, I even wore it in the rain with my dark denim jacket, keep in mind it was absolutely pouring and I put it on underneath my jacket Got wet, that was over 8 months ago, it's very sturdy and over a year it's still looking great, also the same light yellow color so you can easily match it with anything, even a jacket, when you wear It really pops when worn with dark clothes *condup*

To be honest, I have nothing against fakes, I know some people do just that. A friend introduced me to the *condup* some time ago. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the most perfect bag I have ever seen.

Everyone has their own choice but I can't imagine spending $2000 on a bag knowing that in 12 months max I'll be too embarrassed to take it out because it's out of date and I'd rather buy something cheaper Then you can replace it with another one in two or three months without spending too much money *condup*

Maybe we should start a "Not Worth the Price" club! Price is also subjective. They are of course quality bags but the price tag comes more from the collectable and exclusivity nature of them. Those who bought a Birkin, for example, have seen their value increase so for those people it was worth the price. However for some other bags, not so much, I agree with you.

@@fashionfix6 I like the idea of " not worth it club". Except every fashion item would be on it. Once you eliminate all things that are inflated in price because of the prestige they offer, you can get most quality items at discounts, outlets and factory sales for a fraction of their price.
