Graduated… so what now?| Job Hunting in Melbourne| South Melbourne Market| International student
Hi everyone 🌷
Looking for a job in Melbourne as a recent graduate has been tough, especially for international students. The market is super competitive, and many roles require PR/citizenship or ask for years of experience-even for entry-level positions.
In this video, I share my personal job-hunting journey, the challenges I’ve faced (ghosting, rejections, you name it), and some valuable insights I’ve gained from networking and coffee chats. ☕️
If you’re in a similar situation, hopefully, my personal experience will help you somehow✨
This is not a professional advice, it’s just my personal experience and opinion so it might not be suitable for everyone 👷🏻♀️

Hello everyone! 🌷 I hope you’re all doing well. As international students, I know many of us may have questions or concerns about the visas. Don't hesitate to reach out to your university-they usually offer support and guidance. Whether you're applying for a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) or a Student Visa (Subclass 500) through an agent, make sure to do your own research and consult mu...

Hi everyone!🌷 I hope you all are doing great. When it comes to studying aboard, people also tend to focus on the academics and overlook the real challenges- being away from your friends and family, confronting the fear of starting a new life in a different country after graduation, and constantly saying lots of goodbyes... Little things like home-cook food and baking therapy make it easier for ...

Hi everyone!🌷 When I first arrived in Melbourne, there were lots of things that I am not familiar with. I still remember vividly that I constantly search on TH-cam and try to find videos about studying in Melbourne, especially University Of Melbourne. There was not much back then and I was really nervous . You might be doing the same things as you are back home but it just feels a bit different...

Hi everyone!🌷 It is my last semester and I don’t often have to go back to Uni anymore. My friend invited me to have lunch at Ormond College, which is a residential college in the University Of Melbourne. I really love the places so even though I can't take lots of footage, I still want to share with you all! I am not sure how it’s really like living there, I think it is always good to know your...

How often do you need to pay for the rent? Is it by weekly or monthly? 😅
I am not 100% sure because it's been awhile but I reckon I paid it monthly. It is important to know that the final amount you will be paying is more than the weekly amount they listed. The reason is that the way they calculate the monthly rent is by dividing the weekly rent by 7 in order to get the daily rent and times it by 365 days. After doing so, you will get a full year rent amount and they will divide then sum into 12 months. Say if your weekly rent is $600, the way they calculate will be $600/7= $85.714/Day $85.714 x 365 days= $31,285.714/year $31,285.714/ 12 months= $2,607.1429/ months If you divided this by week, you will be paying around $651.78 instead of $600. I hope it helps :)

Hello there! 👋 I hope you don't mind me reaching out. I truly enjoyed watching the videos on your (Melbourne| Everyday life| lifestyle vlogs) channel! 🎥 However, I noticed that very few people are watching them. If the viewers and subscribers are not high, your channel (Melbourne| Everyday life| lifestyle vlogs) won't be eligible for monetization. There are 20 public videos in just 2 years-it’s really appreciable! But unfortunately, not many viewers have seen them. 😔 Your current Video SEO Score is very low, which affects your search ranking. 📉 It's crucial to have well-designed thumbnails, keyword research, and SEO-friendly titles and descriptions to ensure your videos are easily discoverable. If your video is SEO optimized, it will appear at the top of search engine results, attracting more viewers. 🌟 I can help SEO optimize your videos so you can see the difference. I wish you all the best! 🌈 Note: I will provide Thumbnails Design for free and perform Video SEO for your TH-cam channel so that every video of yours starts getting more views and goes viral. 🚀 Best regards, Partha Das Webmaster & TH-camr 🎯

Thanks for the tour.😊
I feel the same, being away from family and friends are so hard at times. Though I have lived here for 18 years. I hope you're hanging there. :)
Hi! I was wondering, if I rent a studio room there, which says on the website that it's for 1 pax, is it possbile for my partner to come and live with me? Especially when he is not a student at the uni.
Heyy!! Me and my partner considered about that as well. To be honest, I’m not 100% sure. Make sure you send them an email and ask, I don’t want to give you the wrong information. It’s been 2 years ago since I lived there. As I remember, we need to pay additional fee if there’s another person living with you in a studio room which suppose to be for 1 person. This is not a University sourced accommodation so I guess your partner can still stay with you in Scape even he’s not a student. If you need to pay an additional fee for the studio room, i think you should also have a look at the “2 bed apartment”. www.scape.com.au/melbourne/scape-franklin/2-bedroom-apartment-scape-franklin/ Again, send an email and ask them. Good luck and hope it helps 🌷
@@Ausentic Hi! Thank you for your kind reply! Finding accommodation overseas is definitely a hassle. I really appreciate that there are people like you who share experiences online, helping more people to have a place to start. Hope that everything goes well with you!
Thank you for your kind words ☺️That’s the reason I started this channel in the first place because I’ve been there (still there😛) I hope that by sharing my life, people get to know a bit more about student life/life overseas as general :)

Hi there, thanks for the review! Just wondering if there’s heater in the room and how was the services like overall? Say if a light bulb is broken, would they come to fix it if you notify them? Also, how’s the internet connection like?
If I’m not mistaken, you can increase the temperature with the AC panel. The service is great when I live there. If there’s something to do with your room, it usually takes 1-2 days until someone come to fix it. If it’s related to the building, like lift maintenance, it’s gonna take longer. As for the internet connection it’s fast and I didn’t encounter any internet issue when I stayed there. (I’m not sure if that’s because I’m the first batch to stay there’s and there’s not much resident yet) Hope it helps!
@@Ausentic Thank you so much!!

I want to ask does the TV has HDMI port? Cuz I connect my laptop to the TV quite a lot 😅
Yes! It has HTMI port :)
Is it specifically for college students or uni as well?
Nah, it is a company specializing in student accommodation. You only need to be a student so you apply
How long did it take you to find a rental property? I will spend a month looking for a 1B1B apartment in Jan.
I reckon I used around 1.5 months to find an apartment that I like. If you go 3-4 inspections per day then it will speed up the whole process. In the beginning, I just went to around 1-2 inspections per day, maybe that’s why it took me 1.5 months. Hope it helps, Good luck!! BTW, I also heard that it’s easier if you rent 3B2B. If you have any friends that would like to rent a property and don’t mind sharing, maybe that’s another way that you can speed up the process :)
Hi, I will be studying abroad in Australia next Feb, and I am looking for student accommodation to stay for my final year, so overall do u feel that Scape Franklin is a good place to stay? I plan to choose between Unilodge Central and Scape Franklin
Personally, I feel like it’s a good place to stay. However, it really depends on what are you looking for :)
Hmmm What are some of the events/celebrations in here??
Do you mean what kind of events there will be in Scape? It varies! Sometimes it will be festival related, sight-seeing tours etc :)
Hi, can you please tell which software you use for editing? and whether it's free or not?

Hello :) this is not a school campus, scape is a student accommodation provider in Australia If you’re interested in scape, you can check out their website: www.scape.com.au/?gclid=CjwKCAjwsvujBhAXEiwA_UXnADosGPvWY3sCBpAEpwTvguDggtT2Usl5SDBY2z5t076lkl99Z-7_xhoC9E0QAvD_BwE Hope it helps🧡
Hi! What are the prices?
Hi :) It really depends on which apartment. What we are looking for is 2B2B1C at that time, the rent is around $550-680 (as I remember). I think the rent is more costly now, you can check out the real estate website to get some more ideas.
