Keep it together man
or carry a Wisker Biscuit for the problem
👍👍 pretty simple deal with all different yardage tapes it appears. For me on the target face I use 1/2” wide blue or white painters tape. Usually make two lines at a foot long on cardboard. That way I can set yep a vertical and horizontal line to shoot at. Don’t make a big + but separate boards so you don’t aim the center automatically. This is when you are starting from scratch on sighting in. This system is accurate to 1/2” when you’re consistently hitting the tape. Plus there’s no exact point of aim other than somewhere on the tape. Unless all your arrows are dead center in a circle type target those rings/ circles will fool you like by 1 or 2+ inches off exact true hits. 1”+ at 20 can be 3”? at 30 yards and so on. For me, I have to have confidence my arrows are hitting the target lines exactly in accordance with where my scale marker is setting on my sight tape. That way you KNOW the bow and arrow are 100% set. Now, it’s up to you to hit that rabbit or squirrel at 47 yards. Anyway m that’s my OCD technique.
thank you for the detailed response, that is a great method. I'll consider this in future videos for sure
🔥🔥and at one of those dang midget size targets too!
I don't really get it...can some one explt a bit more? Talking about sight, it is also depends on you use short arm or long arm, how far out you set up your sight arm. More, where is the arrow head positioned? I don't get it...😮
Some mighty fine target bucks. Really fine.
The shortest bow hunt I ever had was literally like 15 seconds three years ago. 2nd week of October I had just set down in a 15’ high ladder stand and nocked an arrow preparing to hang it on a bow arm hook. The bow was still in my hand and I caught movement of one of my target books coming my way. He stopped perfectly with his head behind a tree that I knew was 24 yards. I drew and hit him just above the heart cutting the arteries. He made it about 35 yards. Was a 157 2/8”. That will never happen again I’m betting.
Hunting is pretty wild sometimes. Sit for hours, freeze your butt off, see nothing, kick up deer on your way in even though preparation is perfect. Then stories like yours and mine happen....
👍👍 what a crazy story and prolly the easiest hunt I’ve heard of. Wonder what was up that the buck didn’t leave? Maybe just worn out or brain addled from the rut? Now that’s one fancy box blind you built. 👍👍
He was locked down with a doe. She didn't leave so he didn't leave. Crazy experience indeed. Thanks for the compliment on the blind. I'm doing a video detailing the build, should come out early next year
Man congratulations that’s awesome what an experience you will never forget and at least you didn’t have far to drag him outta there!!l😂
Awesome
One thing that helped me the most to learn not to punch either my trigger or thumb was to shoot at a blank target. At like 10 yards or many times across my game room at 20 feet. And not aiming at anything specific on that target, just working on form and execution. Getting my feet and hips set so the bow naturally lined up easily without me needing to drive it into position. The pin will settle faster too. After the pin settles working on my execution trying to make it basically automatic. There’s a feeling that the shot doesn’t have to break like NOW. Just pulling while focusing on the target, not the pin. Doesn’t matter where the arrow hits. Also, when shooting the target needs to be up high enough you’re not at any down angle but level. For better form. Move outside at 20 yards blank bale. We fight ourselves by worrying on hitting center which isn’t important right now. You find later when the punching is gone and we realize it’s not needed the pin will begin to be on center or very very close automatically. Plenty close for killing an animal. Blank bale shooting releases the stress associated with and interfering with breaking the shot. Eventually, there won’t be any “ I hope this hits center “ thoughts. And you are 100% right in that it’s about learning the correct form. 👍👍🔥
You've been spotted. Deer ran off
Looks good!! Your arw getting d-loop pinch on your nock during your draw. That is why your arrow is chattering around as you draw. Could also impact your shot.
thanks man
Or 🤷♂️you can just rotate your vanes to lie sideways on each side ? I’ve taken 130 yd successful shots 🤙
Why do you move your feet every time you draw. Set your feet correctly and don’t move them. That wiggle costs time while you are trying to steady up the bow. Check out George Ryals “ archery learning center” video on drawing with a raised bow to shoot up hill. It’s pretty enlightening and actually easy to do. I will say there’s a huge difference between technique for hunting shots versus scoring like at an IBO, ASA or a good field round. 👍👍
Why had I not thought of this?
He’s a bow shooting diva With a good wife
I was about to say why can’t I get this close with a gun😂
awesome video man! I don't know if its the way she's holding the bow or the angle but it seems like her draw length is a little to long for her and i think that's why she isn't naturally wanting to anchor on her nose and or corner of her mouth
That's Awesome!!
Season starts here in Ohio on the 28th. Good luck, be safe and shoot straight.
Looks a bit ballzee to me lol
Tumor
Infection
You got 30 more tries 😂
you never know how many arrows you might need at TAC. That being said, probably had too many.....
His form and shot process could use some work. I would recommend that he take some professional archery classes. Awrsome getting out there though!
I will be doing some fundamental archery videos in the future breaking down all of our flaws. Stance will be his focus. His grip also
Relax that left hand a bit !!
100 percent. push and pull
Great, but his stance sucks
he's very accurate even though he has some things to work on. will have some videos coming out soon picking apart our flaws (i have my own as well)
Aint going to lie i thought the little girl was chewing on a snake at first. 😂 man my coffee needs to start working
He's tall and skinny, laid right back into his draw. Trigger finger to the jaw bone and shoulder never came forward after release. Looks good, nice form.
Draw length looks alittle long
He needs to turn his wrist a little, too much torque. Probably why his DL looks long. Pretty good form but still a little work to do
Good form bro I'm excited for this season🤝
I'm excited for the season as well. Only 11 days for us in Wisconsin
Holy balls
Promo_SM 😭
That’s a buck no utters those are his ⚾️⚾️
@jaire. He was 11 at the time of this shoot last year. Thank you for the kind words. He's probably going to be beating me soon....
So cute and she was so happy
Dude this guy is going somewhere, tell him to keep up the great work!! What grade is he? 4th grade sure is a prospect for 4th grade!!
Your not cool btw
Fantastic shot.
Thanks
