I lived in T.Y. Court in 1970 a couple blocks before the klong. 2 lanes. No bridge then over the klong, of course. I remember all the tanks and troops coming down the street during the coup in '71, I believe it was. We had a Thai general as a neighbor as it were.

in my time it was grass and vegetation halfway on both sides, then near a gentle bend and a slight rise there was a first hotel. The house where I lived was even further back and then to the left, otherwise you could go swimming. That klong is still there. At the back of the yard you had a lot of green and then a train track, which was used daily.
