Common Combos MTG
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 21 มี.ค. 2024
Welcome to Common Combo's, where I talk shop about Magic the Gathering combo's. Whether you are brand new to the game and the combo aspect has you hooked, or are an enfranchised player looking to up your magic knowledge, we've got you covered. I'll try to put out a video at least once a week. Thanks for stopping by.
Bloodthirsty Conqueror Combo CC's #10
The OG was sanguine bond + exquisite blood but nowadays sanguine bond costs 2 mana and exquisite blood is a creature. Welcome back to common combo's, apologies for the hiatus.
Today we have an infinite life/lifeloss combo that is standard legal.

Underworld Breach Combo CC's #9
มุมมอง 4336 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this installment of Common Combo's we have prepared for you our longest combo yet with underworld breach, lions eye diamond and brainfreeze. A combo so strong, it got the axe in legacy. There were a few notes about this combo that didn't end up making the cut, mainly intuition lines, the exact way storm works and the fact that your opponents can't respond to LED because it's a mana ability. ...
New Pauper combo from MH3 Basking Broodscale combo CC's #8
มุมมอง 1.3K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Modern horizons 3 is just around the corner and boy howdy does it have some juice. Not just for pauper, but for every format. We decided to focus on pauper because we hadn't done a CC's for that format, but basking broodscale goes infinite with everything so have fun brewing.
Devoted Druid combo's B.Y.O.C. #1
มุมมอง 1326 หลายเดือนก่อน
When you've got a card as broken as devoted druid, it's impossible to go into detail on every single card it combo's with. So welcome to B.Y.O.C. where we compile the cards and you get to decide what's relevant to you.
Scurry Oak Combo CC's #7
มุมมอง 4487 หลายเดือนก่อน
I describe how to overrun your opponents with infinite squirrels. Scurry Oak is an incredible card and Ivy Lane Denizen has been a staple in green commander decks for a while. Sorry about the audio on this one, couldn't quite get the balance right in the final edit.
Fblthp, the Lost combo CC's #6
มุมมอง 3897 หลายเดือนก่อน
Fblthp was originally in the art and flavor text of totally lost from gatecrash and now he's the commander of a fringe monoblue cedh deck, look at him go! I then explain the "dram ram" combo with isochron scepter and dramatic reversal. A sample Fblthp, the lost Cedh deck for your perusal. www.moxfield.com/decks/MG2xWW9Sb0C4EDS6U7kS5Q Thanks again for watching. Our next video will round out the ...
Heliod, sun crowned combo CC's #5
มุมมอง 1857 หลายเดือนก่อน
Heliod, sun crowned and Walking ballista, name a more perfect duo, I'll wait. A combo so strong Walking Ballista got the axe in pioneer. A sample monowhite Cedh decklist for your perusal. www.moxfield.com/decks/urs4pKTeCUyZ-FJimN5prA I didn't elaborate too much in the video but this combo has existed since 2013 by putting lifelink on a triskelion with archangel of thune in play or just archange...
Dualcaster Mage Combo CC's #4
มุมมอง 5137 หลายเดือนก่อน
A slightly shorter video this week as I have been ill. Still a combo worth going over as there is the new hotness molten duplication as redundancy. This is a sample Cedh deck that uses the combo to great effect. www.moxfield.com/decks/URpEcoe6e0GBp3GzsstyBg
Hoarding Broodlord "combo" CC's #3
มุมมอง 1.7K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hoarding broodlord is a card that enters the battlefield to search you library and shenanigans ensued. I explain a mono black line with sacrifice and peer into the abyss to draw half your deck and a blue black line to outright win.
Time Vault Combo CC #2
มุมมอง 6488 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I explain the Time Vault Voltaic Key combo from vintage. The combo itself is rather simple so afterwards I explain some of the history surrounding time vault.
Thassa's Oracle Combo CC #1
มุมมอง 1.7K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I explain the interaction between Thassa's Oracle and Demonic consultation resulting in an instant win. This combo is typical of high end cEDH decks as it is a robust two card wincon that is hard to interact with. I also detail common ways to interact with this combo
I didd the infinite combo in the Foundation prerelease. For lifegain/lifeloss trigger, I had a goblin with haste that can tap and sac itself to deal one damage, a vampire that give one life and makes lose one life when I had a creature dying and a creature that had a sac cost.
That is incredible. I went to several sealed prereleases in my area and only once did I see the bloodthirsty conqueror, let alone the combo. On top of that it sounds like you had a bunch of ways to get the party started. Hope you had a good time. Thank you for the comment!
When you play DCM and TF does that mean you have to sack your tokens before your combat phase and have no infinite army to swing with?
Not quite, Twinflame reads "exile the tokens at the beginning of the next end step" thus if you perform the combo during your precombat main phase they will have haste and be able to attack. Thanks for the comment!
Hello, is there a bad interaction between Underworld Breach combo and Necrodominance ? Because Necro exiles cards that are put into the graveyard and LED can't be cast at instant speed in response to the exile trigger.
As the person playing the underworld breach combo, I would not recommend running necrodominance. The necrodominance uses what is known as a replacement effect to skip putting cards into the graveyard and puts them straight into exile. Thus there is no opportunity to perform the combo. Thanks for the comment!
@@commoncombosmtg You are right it's a replacement effect. Maybe it would be ok if you have some bouncers (chain of smog, otawara, cyclonic rift, alchemist retrieval..) or if you can destroy it (beseech the mirror).
Thank you so much what a great explanation. I’ve watched several other videos and they don’t explain as well as you did
Thank you so much! There are a ton of little things about combos that people gloss over when trying to explain them and we strive to get into the fine details of the combo's we cover.
When a creature is put into a graveyard not die. tokens when move zones sease to exist and technically don't hit the graveyard?
Tokens do hit the graveyard then cease existing the next time state-based actions are checked. The updated wording of sadistic glee reads "whenever a creature dies" so the graveyard interaction with tokens is somewhat irrelevant, but it's a good question regardless. Thank you for the comment.
What a awesome combo. Lol got yourself a new subscriber.
I have to stipulate, not originally my combo, I had seen it online. I do love covering combo's especially when they work for a particular format. Thanks for the Sub!
@@commoncombosmtg I like combos myself. So it's all good.
nice vid
Thank you!
A friend of mine used to run this line in his teferi, chain veil cedh deck.
That's actually quite interesting as normally the chain veil Teferi deck will play displacer kitten loops, along with advantage generating creatures. losing those creatures to put an a+b combo in that just finds dram ram anyway feels like a misplay. but that's the beauty of commander that just because something is suboptimal doesn't mean it isn't fun. Thanks for the comment, also great name!
Time Vault has to be 1 of the coolest pieces of magic history with all it’s errata’s
I figured with how simple the combo was that I had the time to tell you guys how many times they tried fixing the card. very fun. Also thanks for watching all my content!
I’m surprised Agatha’s soul cauldron wasn’t mentioned anywhere
That's a good shout. I know some modern lists are running it as redundancy against fatal pushes etc. and that its a good piece for the heliod Cedh deck. Thank you for the comment!
Jeeze. I have both of those 2 first cards
If you have a commander deck to put them in, might as well. Some people in commander don't like instant wins though so talk with the group you play with before adding them, and if it ends up being too strong then be open to taking out the combo.
Fun fact with saw in half and duel caster you can get infinite 1/1s and can copy any other instant/sorcery on the stack of your choice
That's a cool interaction. maybe put a lightning bolt on the stack to copy before starting because the tokens will not have haste. thank you for the comment!
You can actually win on the spot pretty easily with either Green, Red or Blue as a support color by creating a loop with an Eternal Witness effect (even if limited to Instant or Sorceries, like Archeomancer), with very few extra support cards (like Recurring Nightmares and any Entomb effect), simply using Collective Brutality, Orcish Bowmasters or Bolt. (Saw in Half, Sacrifice and any Witness effect with CMC 5+ like Anarchist is infinite mana, or you can pass through Recurring Nightmares + lower CMC Witness Effect and go infinite Black mana with just Sacrifice, Saw, Witness and Broodlord) Simply putting a Broodlord in play, with very little extra mana, is a guaranteed win in almost any non monoB shell
I had considered mentioning Eternal witness or archeomancer loops, I felt they went beyond the scope of the video. I mentioned the UB line because I already had a video on how those two win (not that anyone needs a refresher) These videos are for newer people looking into the vast combo side of MTG. Thank you so much for the comment!
@@commoncombosmtg NPNP, I just felt that if we were to talk about the Dragon combos kick-started by Saw, Saw loops would have been a given!
Can you do a devoted druid combo next?
That is an excellent suggestion. For cards that "combo with a ham sandwich" were going to be making a series called "B.Y.O.C." (build your own combo's) where devoted druid will definitely be featured. Thank you for the comment!
You should cover the Maralen of the Mornsong + Hoader's Greed with Draco as the last card in the deck combo!
were trying to stay away from combo's that don't meaningfully progress the board state. Thank you so much for your suggestion though!
