Do you need workout modifications for BAD KNEES?
มุมมอง 3444 ปีที่แล้ว
Here are some moves that you can do instead of squats and lunges if those movements hurt your knees. It can be really tempting to give up on exercise completely when you have knee pain but keeping the muscles strong will help support those painful joints. You can keep active - you just need to find a way that works for you!
Do you have a sore tight neck?
มุมมอง 3655 ปีที่แล้ว
Here are some stretches that might help! I'll show you how to use a ball to release the tight muscles and then stretch them out. So often today, we are hunched forward and our upper trapezius muscles end up over worked, tight, and sore. There is a way to remedy this though! Willpower is like a muscle.

Set yourself up for success by limiting the willpower required so that you don't burn it out, and also by strengthening your willpower. It is like a muscle. It can fatigue AND be strengthened.

    What brand shoe are you wearing? Did you have to size up any so the shoe doesn’t rub the incisions? I’m only at week 2 and I also had bone spurs removed and the plantar fascia released. Dr figured since he was doing the Achilles may as well. Hope I don’t regret any of this. Thanks & good luck.

    💥💥 WATCH OUT FOR Pelvic Torsion along with pain and issues in and with the opposite knee 💥💥 If you experience ANY pain or irritating discomfort in your lower back or knee TELL YOUR Dr and insist in treatment! If you stay on top of those issues you just may avoid 2 knee surgeries and a spinal fusion 17 years later! The misalignment your back suffers along with added strain and strange positioning of the opposite knee to accomodate your fracture boot WILL be an issue for you at some point. 2/14/2002 i tore the ligaments that go across the top of my foot and broke my ankle at the base. After corrective surgery, i had to wear a fracture boot for 3 very long months. Then another month after hardware removal surgery. 22 years later and that FRACTURE BOOT IS STILL CAUSING ME PAIN!! Pelvic Torsion and cartilage damage to my knee as a result. I am convinced that that fracture boot is a huge factor and a catalyst to issues that forced me into the need for spinal fusion in 2019

    My casts always burn the day I get them changed. My doctor says it's normal and it's my nerves trying to heal.

    How on earth are you standing on one leg for so long so easily?? My standing leg gets tired, my hip starts to cramp, and I feel like I'm going to lose my balance. Guess I should have done a lot more one legged yoga poses before breaking my leg!!

    This probably isn't the recommendation of doctors, but I went straight from full weight bearing after non weight bearing. The crutches were way too much of a nuisance.

    I broke my leg the week of Christmas. I’m able to walk now but I’m looking for resources without having to do physical therapy. This definitely helped. Thanks! Also the boot sucks. I’m also in a boot and crutches.

    • @RobinMcFadyen
      @RobinMcFadyen 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This doesn’t replace the need for physiotherapy! I went to physiotherapy once I was out of the boot and it was very helpful for exercises to do to strengthen safely as I healed. They were also super valuable for helping me get rid of the limp. I would definitely recommend going even for a few sessions to get some direction about your specific situation

    Disagree about the doctor. They are not the end all be all. I fractured by 5th metatarsal in my left foot. I went to one doctor and she said 20% weight on the foot and the rest on the crutches. I went to a foot surgeon a day later and she said zero weight on the foot. They are all different and I bet most don’t keep up with the latest trends and especially with the latest devices to help you get around better.

    My other broke her heal. It was snapped off and they had to go in and put it back in place with screws. She was no weight bearing for the last couple months and just now got the ok to start putting weight on it. Thanks for this video, gives me some idea of how to help her as her insurance decided she did not need rehab despite all the doctors saying she does...

    My doctor gave me specific instructions on how much weight to put on my foot while in its boot & move up a little every week for the next 4 weeks. I am at week 6 after my trimalleolar ankle surgery. It is gonna be different for everybody & nobody heals the same & you have to wait until you get X-rays to show that it has healed properly. I Should be able to walk with no boot or crutches 🩼 around week 10.
