Apartment Hunting | What $2550 gets you in Sydney, Australia
มุมมอง 3.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi everyone, Sydney's market right now is BOOMING - apartment rentals have gone up 10.8% in the past year and rental vacancy is close to zero. Not long ago, $450 a week could get you a decent place but now $600 is considered the lower range. I checked out three apartments in the East (Alexandria and Waterloo) and all were different from what I expected.. some were better others were worst. I'm ...

HELLO HELLO super stoked to share this video with you!!! I'm 24 y.o currently live in Sydney and am looking to move out on my own. We're currently in lockdown, so all these places were visited on a private inspection basis which is great but also limits the number of places I can inspect. Over the last month or so, I'm learning more about things that are non negotiables and things that I'm will...

I feel like london would be almost impossible to get a decent apartment? I own a house near port Macquarie and have kids etc now but always wanted to experience the busy lifestyle of london or Dublin.

Stop looking for negatives and enjoy the positives instead. Take your rose tinted glasses off, because a number of those things also occur here in Australia. Absolutely every country has its challenges. Sounds like you might just be homesick. If so, get on a plane and return to Australia.

The uncertainties accompanying this present market is more reasons I have my daily investment decisions guided by a portfolio-coach seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time, both employing profit-oriented strategy and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downtrends, coupled with the exclusive analysis, it's quite impossible not to outperform. It’s precisely at times like these that investors need to be on guard against the next certainty. You don’t have to act on every forecast, hence i will suggest you get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on......

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $109k now to put in the market.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

Hey I lived in Hurstville for 6 years since I moved to Sydney (and can tell all your inspection buildings just based on their window view hehe). We moved out in April and the agent hosted an inspection and the number of people in a 15 min window was crazy...yes the rent increased but more like to the pre-covid level, for our case, took the 1 bed+study in 2017 for 500 pw, increased to 520pw and dropped to 460 in covid and now the agent rent it out at 460pw after we left. Here are my two cents... 1) don't live too close to the loading zones (like westfield, they will start delivering&handling at 5 am) 2) consider the noise from Forest rd, Queens rd, the rail and all the intersections 3) Don't forget checking the facing of the room, and all the filters (rangehood, ac, dryer, etc.) 4) lessons from lockdown: check if the lift is enough? and is there any safe area for online shopping delivery?
