Masterful rendition where he as usual sets the bar for all other jaijaiwanti. What a profound opening with the depth of dhrupad nobility, nice little touch at 2m15 where he hints at his teacher Ud. Ali Akhbar Khan's signature sarod phrase 🙂 .oh how i adore that subtle beauty of both shudh and komal Ga held down by a solid rishab... true jaijaivanti revealed by the master❤

She learnt from Kishori Amonkar for a brief while. Her influence is clearly seen in her singing.

Perhaps, we will never see another mansur, bhimsen or others of their generation. The reason is that they had no opportunity to listen to other greats and hence they developed their own unique styles. Nowadays, due to proliferation of electronic music, the students listen to others so often that they tend to become like others.

This is the treasure the world is after but doesn't know!!! And probably will never know 😂
