merry belated christmas. hope all was wonderful. Glad you enjoy the chatty types. I've always been more of a busy body in this game, but any and every chance I have at the G.E., or at a bank near a piece of content, I'll see the occasional chat, and honestly. moments like that make me happy. sometimes, people DO just hop on here to bankstand and have a chat with a mate, and that's just the best

good RC question. I think on the whole i like the concept. gathering up your own stockpile of runes, especially the middle and higher tier runes. over the years, buying it from shops kinda became the norm, mainscape and irons alike, but. I think there are certain minigames, and methods in current oldschool that make runecrafting fun tho (for me, they're fun)

It's a useless skill...when you can buy the end result from a vendor at level 1 and they're cheaper than the GE, it's useless. Masterwork staff isn't even a useful weapon.

What a timing! Just completed it in RS3 yesterday and was wondering how much difference for it in OSRS!

mining and smithing is potentially the worst method of acquiring better gear, you're much better off learning skilling minigames that you havent learned before, most of them are fairly decent xp, and rewards are usually all quite nice.

Oziach in Edgeville sells the Rune platebody. The 2nd floor of the Champion's Guild has Rune Platelegs/skirts and Rune Chainbody for sale. It is just a matter of getting the gp for it.

Full rune easy to get with golden god because it gives you infinite money essentially and then you just buy the rune. Or hard clue scrolls give it, and with clue compass you can teleport to every clue step instantly so theyre very quick.

Little tip, dont do any major leveling grinds until youre at least T5 relic for the 12x xp boost. Just open the wiki task list, sort by most completed with your areas and run down the list til tier 5. Will make leveling so much faster

The people in full rune probably chose the mining relic as their first one, it auto-smelts and banks everything you mine so they likely just put the time in to grind mining/smithing to 99

I've been having a blast with leagues. It's fun to see you enjoy it too!

Always interesting to see someone who isn't super addicted to the game play leagues. Finding a group chat, clan chat, or friends chat to just hang around in so you can talk and complain with other people makes a lot of things a ton more enjoyable since you can ask questions and hear tips about what you are trying to do. Also, if you are going to keep training magic, I highly highly recommend opening up the masteries interface and unlocking anything. Unlocking something gives you a buff that saves you 95% of the runes you use to cast magic and can be really game changing. The area you picked has a lot of good things for mining and smithing if you keep doing that. It also opens up the rogue's den for better stuff related to theiving which you also seemed to want to do. For future regions, desert would give you a huge activity for smithing, some big magic spell upgrades and the fishing boss that will work well with your first relic. Kandarin would give you the higher level npc to pick pocket and let you get medium and hard clues from pickpocketing which you should be able to do pretty easily for the equipment and cool items they give. Interesting to watch and hope you keep having fun with it.
